IAero won't recognize PT hub

Post by mfez »

So I upgraded my ipro to an iaero, so i could use it with my powertap hub. But, the sensor won't sense the hub. when I do "scan," it won't recognize speed. It also won't recognize the hub -- it says "PIN Off" and skips by. Any suggestions? I'm about ready to throw this thing in my vitamixer.

Update: I installed all new batteries, and it scanned speed. However, it says "PIN Off" still. Is there a way to turn it on?

With a Gen3 simply hold the up and down arrows until it goes to scan mode. Make sure the PT hub is awake and have your other sensors awake so it finds everything it needs to find.

I have exactly the same problem with a Powertap Elite+.

I dont have a clue what was the solution for the other user, but now I tried to manually add the PT as a sensor in Isaac, I sent the updated profile to iBike, and I will see whether it will help the unit to recognize my PT hub. I will revert back when I check it.

The trick worked. iAero recognized the hub using the ID I got from Cycleops head unit. I had chosen type to be 5 and put it into Isaac, although I did not know what it meant to be.
