question on cadence

Post by mikerenn »

i bought an ibike sport on ebay, it came with 2 speed sensors. it says on the sensor 'speed and cadence sensor' however i have not managed to get the ibike to scan the cadence on numerous tries. i have paired the speed and heart, but the ibike will not recognise a cadence signal at all. does the speed sensor really pick up cadence too as suggested or do i need a different cadence sensor.
if it should work, please give ways to make it happen as i have run out of patience with it. i've changed the battery and reset the sensor by turning the battery, but nothing is working.
oh and the magnet does make the sensor 'click' when i move it past, so it is picking up the magnet, but wont pair with the ibike, any ideas?

There is a little sliding switch inside the battery compartment, one setting is for speed the other is for cadence! Make sure one is set for one the other sensor is set for the other!
