NEGATIVE BRAKING

Go for a long ride, involves some braking. Why does the ride files show negative / minus

Negative wattage under braking is the result of "creating" wattage. It actually is dissipated in the form of actually slowing down while a small portion heats up the rim. It would be wonderful to be able to store that energy but alas there's no place to do that. Some people have actually cobbled together some capacitors that take "negative" energy and run small lights with it.
