Powertap Unit or Ibike Unit?

Post by mfez »

Hi. I am thinking of getting a PT wheel and pairing it with the ibike unit. If I do that, do I get all the other features of the ibike, e.g., altitude, hill degrees, cadence etc. Or do I just get the power readings.

To use the PT, you need the iAero version of the iBike - which gets you the whole enchilada.

Yes, but what I am wondering about is whether, if I use the ibike head unit, I get all the goodies that comes with it (aero, cadence etc.)?

Using an iAero mated to a PT gives you every piece of info the iAero is capable of showing on its own. Plus... you can analyze CdA changes from position changes, live and later on in iB5 software.

Yes, you get the entire enchilada of displayable data.
