Pro Rider NOT using the RWS in TT

Was just looking at the picture of the Pro rider in the Giro using the iBike on his TT bike and appears not to be using the RWS. Wondering if anyone knows why? Is the RWS necessary? I would think at that level they would have/want it as dialed in as possible.
Thoughts?

I should probably wait for someone who know for sure to pipe up but....
I zoomed in with firefox as much as it would let me and while I can't fine the funnel, it sure looks like to me that something, a little fuzzy, is plugged into the wind port. So this makes me think the funnel is hiding in the black area of the photo below the iBike someplace.
I am not totally convinced the RWS is in use but it looks like a highly probable to me.
