Why is the slope so far off?

Post by jcash »

I did a tilt calibration before the ride and everything looks fine until about 2.5 miles in (8-9 minutes) and then the slope starts going way up. Switched bikes, did a tilt calibration and same thing after about 6 minutes. Both of these are profiles that have worked fine for over a year. On the positive side the ride analysis software cleans all this up nicely and the numbers are just about where I would expect them, just annoying being teased by the iPro saying that I put out 500+ watts for over 8 minutes. :)

Sometime it can be a battery - either the wireless head or the iBike. Even if you pass the power up battery check. This can be especially true if the air is cooler and the batteries are getting chilled.

Tom,

Thanks, you were right on. I checked the battery and it read 284 but I replaced it anyway on your recommendation and went for a ride and had perfect results. I was thought for sure it had something to do with the auto tilt adjustment.
