Boyd,

Was this a calm day or a tailwind day?

Can we assume that the wind that was there came from the same direction the entire time for this example?

It was a pretty calm day, but even in windy days it's really easy to see when you are drafting and when you are not. When you can look at that info you can analyze a ride file with more info that any other power meter will give you.

+1 - I've used the Wind Speed display to find the "sweet spot" behind others, especially on really windy headwind days, basically looking for the lowest wind reading behind or to the lower side quadrants of the rider(s) in front of me.
