Neat trick with AeroPod CdA app for PowerPod/AeroPod

Post by Velocomp »

If you have Garmin Connect app installed on your iOS/Android phone, you can use the app to select between 2 field (PowerPod slope/wind) and 4 field (AeroPod CdA/Time Advantage/Slope/Wind) data display

Will it not be possible to only use a 2-field layout therefore make it possible to display 2 other fields as well?

Yes, the 4 field display works too! Just check the box that says "Display AeroPod Stats"

The Garmin computers allow you to create your own panel.

Currently, the suggested layout for the AeroPod app was described as 2 data views.

The top (or Bottom) data was the aeropod 2x2 and the other could be your choice of anything else captured by the computer. The suggested data was POWER.

It is entirely possible (but I do not know if the AeroPod portion scales as you change the 2 data fields to 3), for example - have not tried it.

By doing this you would potentially have space for the AeroPod portion, POWER and another item for display ---- experiment with your own setup.

I will do that and report back my findings (currently I have problems accessing apps.garmin.com).

It worked by disabling Aero Pod fields and then choose 4B screen layout in edge 830. See attached image

2 days of testing>

the fields are ok...the reading is difficult... very very tiny numbers. There is a lot of space unused. I have 4 fields... for example speed and power with nice visiblity...and the slope/wind not...perhaps the " font size" is the half as it should be .

is it ok or im doing something wrong?

thanks!!

I am also seeing the font issue.

Other than that, it is great to have the other data fields "gone"
