The (worn out) server for Velocomp GPS Tracker has been replaced. To use the new server you will need to re-register and login to it, just one time, both in Velocomp Aero and in the smartphone GPS app, in order to get GPS stored in your smartphone added to your ride files. Here is how to do it:
1) Make sure you have the latest version of Velocomp Aero (VA) installed: 1.0.33. Note that Isaac is no longer supported; if you haven't installed VA, get it here:
https://www.velocompforum.com/viewtopic ... 106&t=6032
2) In VA, select:
3) On the next screen, select "logout" (this is important)
4) Next, click on the Register tab. Type in your email address and password. These can be the same as what you used previously, or you can pick something else if you wish. When both fields have been entered, click "Register" towards the bottom right of the window:
5) You will get a message saying that an activation code has been sent to the email address you used
6) Copy and paste the activation code sent to your email address into the box in the Activate window, then click "Activate". You will get a confirming message:
7) Finally, click "Login" in the lower right corner. You will get a confirming message that you have been logged in
Next, do a similar process with the Velocomp Tracker (VT) app on your iPhone (similar steps for Android version of VT)
1) Open the VT app and click on Settings in the bottom right corner:
2) in the next window, select "Connection Information"
3) Touch "Logout" (THIS IS IMPORTANT)
4) Next, re-register: enter the email and password you used when setting up VA. CLICK THE CHECKMARK IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER TO COMPLETE REGISTRATION
5) You will get a confirming message
6) Click Done to return to the main screen
You can now upload rides stored on your iPhone to the new server. In the main screen select "My Rides":
7) Locate and highlight the ride you want to send. In this example it is the December 31, 2.6 mile ride:
8) Click the Orange button in the top right corner to upload the GPS information to the server:
9) Repeat step 7) for all ride files you want to upload. NOTE: you do not have to upload ride files from older rides (before the server failure) where you successfully merged GPS data
____________________________
To merge the newly-uploaded GPS data into your ride files, open a ride that matches the date and distance of the uploaded GPS data from VT. In this example, I would open my ride file dated 12/31/25, 2.6 miles
With the ride file opened, select:
When the data is merged successfully, the "Charts" dropdown menu will turn black, and the "Save" button will have a color around it:
Click on the Save button to save GPS information to your ride file.
