Divorcing Windows in Future

Post by Kcblair »

Hello John,

I'm in the process of testing and converting to Linux in the future. (I'm not going through a hardware incompatibility issue with W12) Exactly what does not work with v3-v5 ? NOTE: OLDER VERSIONS OF POWERPOD V3-V5 DO NOT ACHIEVE FULL WIRELESS COMPATIBILITY.

My main issue, with using Velocomp (wireless) is, calibration rides and managing bike profiles . Only other option (if I divorce Windows) is try using Bottles in Linux . Some say it can work, however, I have not tested. This is a long term project.

I have downloaded the app, tried to download data from my PP, but I discovered , there are no ride profiles , cleaned out the other day. The App did find my PP, so it must be working.

Thanks, Ken B.

If you're wanting to use the Velocomp Wireless app to replace Velocomp Aero, you should really have a PowerPod/AeroPod Wireless device. You will have full functionality of Velocomp Aero features from your smartphone, including full profile manipulation and management, ride downloads, firmware uploads, ride viewing, and more.
