PowerStroke and saddle position

Post by lorduintah »

John -

Anyone come up a few ideas to use PowerStroke to help tune in saddle height and/or tilt?

I have been looking at mine as I make some small tilt changes and a few mm of height (+/-) and seem to see some changes - in the l/r and up/down profiles depicted on the animation.

Thanks

Hmm...I did some experiments with this a long time ago. There was definitely a change caused by saddle height; how the legs respond to varying degrees of pedal emphasis does change when the seat is lower/higher.

We did not turn these experiments into recommendations; it would be great if you posted some ride files showing different PowerStrokes according to seat height.

My guess is that higher saddle height causes more exaggerated pedalstroke, because the body has more capacity to sway the bike.
