Re: Analise Dynamic Cda
Travis, I see the Analise Dynamic Cda is gone missing from the Analyze menu. I miss that already! I use it with my road bike which has Profile Design aero bars (set wide for comfort and control). On my rides, I switch from bars to hoods or higher at about 14 mph (23 kh actually) and have used that ...

Re: Newton Setup Elevation failure
Nothing is in metric. If you look at the iBike file you will see it shows 116 ft at start. The Newton shows everything in ft/miles/F. I had thought I could verify elevation correctly set using Enviro or returning to Setup-Elevation but this was a clear failure on this ride. And I was so pleased that...

Newton Setup Elevation failure
Today I had the Newton outside for 10 minutes before riding - mid-40's F and a windy day. I went to Setup to set Elevation. Prior to setup it was 117 ft, and I set it to 335 ft which is the known elevation for the start. Since I have had a set Elevation failure in the past, I always now check the El...

Re: Recalibrating wind and tilt
I find myself doing a TiltCal after firmware upgrades because that is the only way to get Setup to easily be closest to the set Elevation screen. Without having to do WindCal using the Newton, it is frustrating to always have to go Wind-Tilt-CalRide-Battery-Elevation to set initial elevation. How ab...

Isaac Enter Start=End elevation kills CalCheck
Today I set the Elevation on my Newton to its usual known start elevation. However for some reason that elevation was ignored and the Newton's wrong initial elevation was retained. I did an Out&Back and decided to perform an Analysis CalCheck on the ride. If I use the wrong elevation (which equa...

Re: Defining Out and Back for Isaac Cal Check
...Edit to add: Velocomp, I would like to patch Izaac so that if O&B is unchecked in the analyze ride panel, then remove the annotations that seem to persist. Yes, the Out&Back annotations are far too persistant. Realistically, if you are going to the trouble to do a calibration check (or a...

Defining Out and Back for Isaac Cal Check
Currently Isaac uses Elevation to determine Out & Back sections for Calibration Check. For a pure Out & Back activity this works well. I.e. Midpoint exactly 1/2 way. Often I find that a mid-point is not the "pure" turn-around. There may be a many mile (e.g. >10 miles) Out and then ...

Re: High Vibration
Further investigation reveals that the Universal Mount for the Newton+ failed with cracks to both lower rear clamp sections of the mount. I thought I had been careful on installation in June not to overtighten. But maybe not, or it may be that riding in high summer heat overstressed the plastic. I w...

High Vibration
First time I have seen this, a High Vibration grey zone on the Tilt Advanced View. I have been told previously that this view is to be ignored, (although the Isaac negative elevation in that Tilt Advanced View was unexplained) , but I still find it interesting. On today's ride I found a grey zone de...

No, initial elevation set at ride start to reference elevation. The other elevation charts show elevation correctly, only Tilt Advanced View is wrong.KenS wrote:Isn't that just an error on the starting elevation?

Re: Analyze Route and Analyze Tilt Advanced View
The question is if there is a bug in the chart display resulting in the totally negative elevation traces in the charts.
Question was not about the power calculation or dance locations.

Re: Analyze Route and Analyze Tilt Advanced View
Usually the correction in elevation matches "reality" in the Tilt Advanced View. For today's ride, the entire elevation in the Tilt Advanced View is shifted negative in the image above. A more normal Tilt Advanced View shows corrected tilt with normal elevation like below: http://i48.tinyp...

Analyze Route and Analyze Tilt Advanced View
Often when I do the Analyze Tilt and Power Advanced View, the Before Repair shows a lot of drift from zero. Especially after significant climbs and descents. Today's ride is exceptional for odd repair, both before and after. For several minutes on this ride we were near sea level, which recorded as ...

I find my Newton+ discharges from 100% overnight to 96%, then a 4+ hour ride and I find 93%. Several hours later, I hook to usb for upload and charge returns to 100% under 15 minutes. Re: New Newton firmware 602 coming
I'm not sure what you are requesting. Are you suggesting that the odometer shouldn't advance until the next full mile is registered? For example, at present, if at mile 25.40, the odometer will read 25.4 miles, and the odometer advances to 25.5 miles when measured distance is 24.51 miles. Are you p...

Re: New Newton firmware 602 coming
Any thought to changing the rounding display algorithm for distance? Currently I find the distance error/uncertainity of +/- 0.05 miles to be such that I can't use the iBike with a route sheet. I would much prefer a display which truncated the distance to at least actual traveled rather than roundin...

Re: Get "SPCd Fail" message when loading new profile
Today, I connected the Newton+ to usb on my pc (Win7/64 Home) and pressed the center button to turn on. I started Isacc and the Newton showed "SPCD Fail", otherwise no problems. When I Exited Isacc, the Newton cleared SPCD FAIL and reverted to a normal ON screen. I could repeat this.

Setup with Handlebar Mount for Newton?
It seems to me that the Newton Handlebar Mount (which I got with my trade-in) is not properly described during Newton Setup. Yes, it is mounted on the Handlebars ... But it clamps on both sides at the stem and places the Newton over the stem. So during setup should it be called Stem mounted based on...

Re: iBike Software Update 6.1.0
I am finding two issues with 6.1.0: When merging with a .fit, sometimes the gps coordinates are invalid and 6.1.0 will Export the coordinates as NaN (for any output format: csv, tcx, gpx). This may be a failure of the device recording the .fit (Garmin Edge 500 v.260), however a NaN will result in co...
