Review the instructions.

It sounds like you are over thinking this whole process.

Looks like the option to turn off displaying in the Garmin screens ---

CDA and Time Advantage portions of AP functions ---

Font size change

should be useful for the PP users because these are not used in the PP.

Re: Powerpod V3 firmware upgrade

The best you can hope for right now is that Parallels and/or VMWare Fusion running on Apple Silicon can support older Mac OS version - Catalina and so on. There you can run Isaac in all its glory until software brings capability. It really is no different for the Microsoft side in the near future - ...

Re: WARNING: DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR MAC TO macOS 11.4

There is version 17 of Parallels Desktop - it may be part of the solution. Keep in mind another path you can take is to use Parallels and run an older version of the MacOS where you know the Isaac can run. All you need is the installer for that version of the MacOS that you want to have available an...

Re: Transmitting Power to multiple devices?

Although I use a Garmin Edge 830 and not a wrist watch device - I have found that the only reliable pairing of my Garmin and PP to the speed/cadence sensors comes from waking the speed and cadence sensors, then one-click on the PP to wake it up. Just a few seconds later I get the solid green on the ...

Re: Transmitting Power to multiple devices?

Suggestion - After reading the Garmin instructions.... For each sensor you pair to a Garmin, you can get information about that sensor and in there are DETAILS. Within the DETAILS you will find how the sensor is communicating - ANT+ or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). For some sensors both are possible, ...

Good question - On order to install Windows through Parallels you will need to enter a valid license key code for Windows - perhaps you have a PC that was running some version of Windows --- When Windows 10 came out, I had a PC that was running Windows 7, and I believe another version - where you co...

Is it just the strap or the sensor, too? - If you go for a ride and the PP still records your HR, this may indicate that you won't need another cal ride. It may well be that the ID won't change with just a new strap. Either way, if you do your calibration in the same location as your previous calibr...

I would think that for some of these changes - if you are expressing hyper curiosity or wanting exact differences based on bike configuration - you might consider changing the speed sensor for each of the big changes you have expressed concerns about. That way, the panniers and weight/CDA impact mig...

If you are using a bike computer that can estimate tire circumference from revolutions and distance (from GPS) - like Garmin Edge systems - they can report the value that you can use, too.

I think some wrist based HR monitors are sensitive to how the band tightness is around the wrist.

My own iWatch can give misleading readings unless I make sure it is snug during exercise.

As far as tightening the PP into the holder - you mentioned that you thought you were getting it pretty tight, but did not want to break the plastic - a good train of thought. Make it snug - if you think it is getting close to tight enough - hold onto the PP and see if with a small amount of force -...

Re: How to get Isaac/Mac to work with macOS Big Sur

You can substitute an older MacOS version - Mojave or High Sierra for example - if one of them is more to your liking - installer files are a bit smaller by about 2 GB. The advantage of using a virtual OS is that you still have Big Sur running at the same time. The disadvantage is the space taken up...

You also mentioned that the PP will be used on more than one bike. It is crucial that the PP be returned to the exact same position on each respective bike that the calibration for that bike was conducted. So the PP does not have to be an identical orientation over the span of all bikes - just that ...
