Re: Where are profiles stored?

Travis, This might be very obvious, but I'm not near my mac at the moment to check. Whilst things are behaving can we store a copy of the profiles somewhere else for safe keeping? Peter Yes, as long as you do it before you exit the program. * Download your coast-downs & 4-mi ride and accept the...

Re: New tilt setting

I was wondering whether I would need to redo the coast downs etc if the tilt has moved slightly. Or can I just do the tilt and everything else will work itself out, all other things being equal? Also, I've lost a couple of kilos since I did my coast downs, so do I need to do another set, or can I j...

Re: CRR

I set up an additional profile for a second bike. The winds were a little gusty, but the road was smooth and flat. When I use the profile I seem to get a high wattage. The only thing I see possibly out of norm is a CRR 0f 00.0121. Is this high for 700x23 and total rider weight of 185. John Hanna Cr...

Re: Where are profiles stored?

Dammit! I went to plug in the iBike to switch profiles and the only thing to show up in my "Send profile to iBike" choices is the sample profile. I previously had four different profiles for my wired and wireless bike setup with edited versions. Can someone please tell me how the profile ...

Re: I love the new Ibike wireless mount and new software

Keep up the great work and make it better in the future. A ride/ride comparison would be very nice add-on. I usually do the same sections and would like to compare how I performed compared to another ride. Oh jeez, another idea that I've been wanting to implement. I haven't even told John about thi...

Re: editing ride data within iBike2 software

[quote="jslopez93"]Ride files are usually spot on but I am wary about the trainer watts which in my case seem to track a bit high. I'm not too concerned about being extremely accurate on the trainer but I'd rather err on the low side there.quote] Ah, that's different. My todo list has the ...

Re: editing ride data within iBike2 software

We don't want to compete with CPS/TPS, which can do that. However, I'll help anyone set up their CPS over the phone if they want it. I know you can (similar to opening an excelt file) display the CP data in numbers instead of graphs and then changing individual entries. A bit to tedious for me so I...

Re: editing ride data within iBike2 software

..or how about being able to enter a personal 'max power threshold' in the user settings so that when the ride is analysed the software can use this to look for any spikes and then give you the option to have them replaced - the trick is what to replace them with - I'll leave that to the guys with ...

Re: Spikes in elevation analysis

Hi, when I look at my ride data everything looks correct execpt the elevation. There are random spikes of 30-60 feet and the program is reflecting this in the total elevation, 2500' on a dead flat corse? ................Ernie Send me your ride file and I'll see if the elevation data is unusual. Re: Aero, Rolling, Gravity Values on Software

Hi guys. I'm new to the IBIKE and was wondering if someone could explain what the values for Aero, Rolling, and Gravity represent and how I would use them in analysing my ride. I'm sure this is an incredibly stupid question, but I have no shame. Thanks alot. Wayne No, this is a good question. This ...

Re: Average Ground Wind Effect

Something that's been on my mind since the introduction of ibike 2.0 software is the "average ground wind" figure when I analyze a ride file. On a ride yesterday, for example, the wind was blowing steady 10-13 mph with periodic gusts to 19 mph from WNW and swinging to NNW. My ride was alo...

Re: Cycle-Ops Fluid2 and Trainer Mode

http://www.saris.com/comparison/trainers.pdf Well I found the manufacture power curve, though its not what I would call accurate data graph. My rides show me producing ~310 watts @ 20pmh which seems a little higher than the manf curve, if this is the case which profile should I use? Yes, that graph...

CycleOps Fluid2 has (I think) 4 referenced graphs...Is there an accurate, easy way to determine which is the one that will work best for my set-up? Thanks! Re: New to Power Training

I think that you are both right about drafting. Why would the data gathered in a good draft be more susceptible than riding alone? Disclaimer: This is my own personal speculation on the matter without any data yet: In a single file pace line, the iBike unit is generlly in the sweet spot of the the d...

Re: New to Power Training

Hi Monty, Here's my 2 cents. (I've actually never had occasion to check in on this subject before.) The iBike has very good sensors and firmware and I think you will find that it provides the accurate numbers you need for your power training. Each of the power meters have their pros and cons and eac...

No, Travis I did everything right....I pressed the send to button and got an ok message. I tried again several times today to see and used different trainers to set. Re: Wireless observations/requests

- I get extremely high short bursts of cadence readings. I'm going to guess that it happens when the ibike is powering up and locating the cadence mid ride. Could you send me a couple of files that have this problem? I'll look into adding a filter to handle such events. Thanks for sending the file....

Re: Problems... Fine Tuning and adding new profiles

First off I've done over 20 CD's and three 4 mile rides. I do the wind offset and tilt before every ride. BUT it still comes up showing 15-20 watts higher on the average power (sometimes more) and 100+ plus on the max watts. And this is after using the auto analyze. During the ride, at times, the 2...

Second one.... I made a new profile with these values and sent it to the iBike. Then when I went to go for a ride I got the message "Wireless fail". It couldn't find the speed or cad. This happened once before when I was first setting the iBike up. I had to go and re-pair the sensors. Is ...
