iBike app is available!
At long last the iBike app is available at the iTunes Store. This is our "Release 1.0" version (actually, release 1.0.2). Even though we are very pleased with this app, we already have LOTS of things we plan to add. Even without an iBike Dash you'll be able to download the app and try it i...

Re: Low power?
In the drops position your CdA is closer to 0.34.
You're correct that you show a net tail wind for this ride. Assuming you had no net tail wind for this ride the ride file can be corrected for both conditions.
The corrected ride file is attached; your effort was 317W; excellent!

Re: Ibike Freaking Out
When battery voltage goes low the FW splits the ride file in two, so your 10 mile ride becomes a 6 mile and the split-off 4 mile ride.
If you think your iBike is eating batteries then send it to us. Include shipping address and a description of its problems.

Re: zero power reading
What's going on is that your profile is wrong. Your Wind Scaling Factor is way too high, as demonstrated by the blue "flames" shoot up above your bike speed. The calorie readings on your iBike are high due to this problem. The iBike software fixes everything after the fact. I'm attaching a...

Re: iSport Temps gone crazy
The least expensive thing to do is send your iSport to us. We will turn it around the day we receive it. You live in Florida so you will receive the unit the day after we ship it back. The next least expensive thing to do is purchase a USB adapter ($75). The USB adapter, in combination with the free...

Re: iSport Temps gone crazy
No, you got a new unit. The problem is that we did not know your old unit had Garmin FW installed in it. We did not install GT firmware in your new iSport, so that's why it doesn't work with your sensors. When returning a unit for repair it's important to know if any options are installed in it. Tha...

Re: iBike Dash speed/cadence sensor and HR strap
Yep, there are real improvements in both. A photo is attached of the speed/cadence sensor. Not the same as Garmin's; they own that design. The HR strap looks the same. What is new to both is a much better wireless ID system. The ID is permanently assigned, which means that when the sensor's battery ...

Re: iSport Power Oscillates on the Flats
From everything you are reporting it does sound as if your iSport is working properly. Wind speed is normal and slope is normal. If you're on the flats and slope is going to -1%, that would result in a drop of watts. HOWEVER: it is nearly impossible for the eye to notice such minor changes in slope....

Re: What causing iBike Gen III to be reading too much Power
Sorry to say, your suspicions are correct: you aren't Lance... Your ride file reveals a couple of things: 1)Assuming you had no net headwind, your wind scaling should be more like 0.986, not the 1.38 value you had. This knocks down your watts considerably. 2) Your Crr of 0.0062 is high, too. A bette...

Re: RWS option?
At present we don't have an RWS insert available for the iDash.
We have seen iDash TT installations where the RWS is not necessary, but we are evaluating whether or not to bring a new RWS to market for the iDash.

We manufacture our own electronics for the iSport.
We buy key components for the wireless mount from an ANT+ supplier.

Re: iSport Power Oscillates on the Flats
Your aero and fric readings are completely normal. When you climb a hill the effort required is pretty consistent--a result of gravity and relatively constant slope. When riding on the flats the amount of effort required depends significantly on opposing wind, minor variations in hill slope, and dra...

As a convenience we are installing the correct spacers at the factory but it is extremely to change spacers at an...

Re: Question about outside rides
I think your outdoor ride is fine but that your indoor trainer watts are high. On your indoor trainer you have a section where you average about 20 mph and average watts are about 252. This may be correct for your trainer but that's a pretty intense trainer. On outdoor rides, on the level, with no d...
