Re: Anyone else have an issue with the wheel magnet?
I've found the problem with the supplied magnets. As mentioned in other posts I got second speed sensor to mount on my mtb. It was the same as the one that came my iSport origonally. While rummaging through my tool box I found one just like these, only it had a collar that went around the part of th...

Re: iSport on a Mt. Bike
The key there is power to the pedals. These were very technical trails and I was putting out a lot of short hard efforts, which given the poor shape I'm in, caused much higher sustained heart rates. Not to mention the all body workout I got from muscling the bike around and moving around to keep my ...

Re: My wireless iSport review
I've more wrong instructions. From the iSport document I just opened on the iBike webiste the section on coast downs We try to keep things up to date. The iSport directions you've accessed were written last summer. They should have been deleted a long time ago but are gone now. Depending on the kin...

Re: My wireless iSport review
Are using the correct firmware instructions?. If, by the ibike website you mean the ibike store then the instructions you downloaded were from firmware 310+ in May 2009. If your ibike is not almost a year old then it is likely you need to download the correct firmware instructions from the ibike fo...

I've more wrong instructions. From the iSport document I just opened on the iBike webiste the section on coast downs reads: "1) Perform Initial Set-up and Tilt Calibration procedures. 2) Acclimate iSport to outdoor riding temperature. 15) Enter set-up mode. Scroll to “offst”. With the iSport ac...

Re: iSport on a Mt. Bike
Went out on my first Mt. Bike ride with the iSport today: http://www.mapmyride.com/run//me/orono/430127146569872665 http://www.mapmyride.com/view_workout?w=105127146569835684 It seemed to work well. It was funny riding on the road to the trailhead and seeing big wattage numbers, but that was to be e...

Re: My wireless iSport review
Thanks for the info. That last bit was more of a rhetorical question, and of course I did it again tonight, but oh well, I'll learn. I've got the iSport all setup on my Mt. Bike. I'm going for a ride tomorrow with my college club. We'll see what happens. As far as training and routes, I've been doin...

Re: My wireless iSport review
Workout number 2 on using the fit train mode. I must say it's really annoying i can't look at other info while I am in this mode. And, of course, the lightest interval always came up as I was going up the hill, and then higher as I was going down the back. But I was doing a fat-burn level 0 workout ...

Re: iSport on a Mt. Bike
Ahhh. [light bulb goes on] Thank you for the translation! Is there a guide somewhere to what all of the screens mean? [edit] Based on another thread I am going to go with .016 when I won't be on dirt roads but muddy single track. It's not going to be dead accurate I know, but enough to give me an id...

iSport on a Mt. Bike
Hey, has anyone setup their iSport for Mt. biking? I am getting ready to mount mine up to my Mt. Bike and wanted to change the Crr, but can't find to change it. Are there any other threads on here that are useful?
Thank,
Rich

Re: mountain bike use
I just ordered a wireless speed sensor for my Mt. Bike. When I set-up the profile (#2) should I just change the CRR to .016 as I set-up the profile as a good place to start?

Re: My wireless iSport review
Oh, I forgot to mention about the wattage readings in fit train mode. You'll see 3 dots where the wattage bar usually is. One dot is on the left, one in the center, and one on the right. If you are at your target wattage all you will see is dots. If you are below, you will see bar go from the center...

Re: My wireless iSport review
This is a bit late, but the I believe I figured out what I was doing wrong on the wind cal abort. I would click it to abort and thought the blinking meant confirm so I would hit the center button again. I believe this lead to the lock up. I have successfully aborted the wind cal a few times now. I'v...

Re: My wireless iSport review
I got this brand new in the package and it has the lastest firmware. I just got a real good deal on it. It is possible that the "locking up" I've experienced is user error, but I don't think so. I just wait for the auto wind to finish now. Thanks for the off instructions. Doesn't help when...

My wireless iSport review
I am technically inclined, and no dummy (debatable), so I was excited to be able to afford an iSport. However, it is no where near as plug and play as I was lead to believe. The directions, while detailed, are not completely correct. I had access to 2 sets of directions ("Fast Start" and i...

Re: Commuter bike delima
I found a major reason for my problem is my handlebar bag. Even though the iSport sits, what you would assume, is far enough above the bag Wind speed was reading 0 mph, until I pushed the bag down a bit. Time for a Topeak Xtender.

Re: Garmin sensor question
Well, I have half and answer. No, the Garmin sensors will not work. But I have no idea how to upgrade to GT where I am not going to pay $75 for a USB adapter on top of $100 for the GT firmware.

I ride Campagnolo, and a compact crankset to boot; hence the Quarq is useless to me.

Re: Commuter bike delima
I know, but the budget just isn't there. I was pushing it getting an iSport as it is.
What numbers do I need to change? I have the 2 weight values. If I do a coast down test in each configuration what numbers do I need to write down?
Thank you all for the reply's.

Re: Commuter bike delima
There's a reason I waited and bought 1 computer, and I wouldn't spend more than $20, but more like $15, for something just for mileage. I also wouldn't buy a new iSport, I'd upgrade it to an iPro so I could have as many profiles as I wanted. Thank you for the tip about the weight. I really don't fee...

Commuter bike delima
Hey all, I am a new wireless iSport owner. I just mounted it today, but have yet to use it. I needed a computer and decided to go with this. I sold the parts off my road bike this summer (school you know) so my road/trainer/CX/commuter bike is a Bianchi Axis. My question is how should I set it up wh...

Is the iSport able to use Garmin sensors? If not, what is the process to getting the GT firmware upgrade?
