Re: Route analysis before and after

Thanks John. I will do another Cal ride as you suggest. Please take a look at this ride I did 2 days before the one I posted. The variance in power numbers after analyze route and tilt plot seem closer using the same profile. sorry, for the bother. Just don't know what to look at for errors.

Re: Route analysis before and after

I wonder this myself. The "analyze route" after value is different from "Show Tilt plot" value. I'm confused which one to accept.

Re: A couple of things I've noticed...

Why is it that the "analyze route" after result is different from "show tilt" after result? shouldn't it be that the result of the show tilt and analyze route value the same?

Here is the file:

Re: Having issues calibrating ibike

Here's a report on my latest Cal Ride: Did 3 Cal rides today back to back to back as suggested by Fernando. Early morning when there is very little wind. Rode around for maybe 1/2 a mile to acclimate the unit. Did a Tilt calibration followed by a Wind Calibration(twice) to make sure. Started going a...

Re: Having issues calibrating ibike

Thanks Fernando.
I think I'll do a few more Cal ride to confirm the calibration.
In the mean time, here are the 3 Cal ride files in reference:

I read on your other post that you do 4 Cal rides back to back and then average the values? did I get that right?

Thanks again.

Re: Having issues calibrating ibike

Got my New mount so I did 3 Cal Ride with Newton. It is mounted on the stem. 2 Cal ride values are close except for tilt. The third one has more significant change. Here are my 3 Cal Ride values. CDA is fixed at .309 and CRR is fixed at .0055 Aero .265 .268 .310 W. Scale .856 .869 1.003 Fric. 9.196 ...

I think I found a bug(CRR)

Following the device setup, Newton software gives a value of .0054 in my Crr. which I sent to my unit. I check my Newton in the "racr"-"est Fric" and the value is .0053. Shouldn't it be the same since ISAAC sent the value to my unit? I manually change the value to .0054 before CA...

I was thinking, does it really matter? After Cal ride, the unit will make the necessary calculations anyway?

Re: Isaac crashes on Mac when setting up Newton+ GT

I paired my Garmin 910xt by going through "bike" "setting" menu in my Garmin. Go to Ant+Power menu and do a scan. It should pair up no problem. Make sure the ibike is turned on.

Re: Newton first impressions

If I clip the rubber tab covering the USB port, will it void the warranty? It's hard to slide the unit in the mount and afraid it will crack the plastic rail of the unit.

Re: Wireless mount problem

I've been having the same problem lately. The head unit would pair up with my sensors but about mid ride, It would lose the connection. I tried scanning during the ride but it failed. I measured the volt capacity of the sensor and it reads 3.3V . The head unit came out to about 2.85V. The wireless m...

My unit has been set to trainer mode and for the first time, when I wake the computer up this morning, the display switch back and forth between speed and tilt. I tried pressing all kinds of button combination with no luck. Is this a new unit update?

analyze route

What's your opinion on "Automatically analyze route" on the "preference" menu? The reason I ask is because comparing the original download to corrected, the tilt is off (in the analyzed) especially in the beginning of the ride.

Watts missing and off

My iPro has been acting up lately. The watts disappear in the middle of the ride even when I'm pedaling(soft or hard) and when it comes back, it's way off. I do the ritual of letting the unit acclimatize before the ride. Do a wind cal before rolling out and do another wind cal after a block of ridin...
