Re: Cadence sensor all of a sudden not being found
Try Re-setting the sensor. You can do this by reversing the battery in it for about 10seconds. Then, double check the magnet positions again, be sure they are super close. About 1/8" or closer if possible. Re-Scan for the sensors. This should get you back up and running.

Try replacing the battery in the mount, as well as the battery in the HR Strap. This may solve the intermittent readings.

Re: Bad battery read when voltage >275 watts
Batteries tend to regain a slight amount of charge between uses, however, as soon as you begin using it, it drops below a critical level. I would recommend starting fresh with a New Battery, in both the iBike Unit, and the Wireless mount. If you want to conserve the most battery. Be sure that the &q...

There is also a portion in SetUp to erase hrs. Go to Setup--rACr(yes)... scroll up a few times and you will see the hr meter, which you can set back if you'd like.

Re: iBike Dash CC Battery
You can really swap out the battery as you wish. Each supplemental battery will give you about 40-60minutes of extra charge, depending on the draw of your IOS Device. I recommend changing them as they run out(indicated by the charging symbol of the IOS Device).

Now that you have done the calibration ride, I suggest taking a short 2-4mi out and back ride,(NOT A CAL RIDE) no drafting, solo, same road. Take that ride file, load it to the Isaac software, and go to ANALYZE->CHECK CALIBRATION... below the "change meter" you will see "send profile ...

Re: Aero display on bike?
If you are riding with a DFPM(Direct Force Power Meter), you have the option of viewing your CdA real time. To turn this feature on, go into the SetUp of the Newton+ and scroll to rACr(yes)->CdA(on). You will then see your Cda in the lower field of the iBike Display, alternating with Cadence(RPM) an...

* Export the GPS data into a format that iBike can open. For GPS data, this will typically be GPX, TCX, or FIT. (Note that Isaac can also import text exports from SRM SW & Poweragent for Powertap, and HRM files from the Polar SW.) * Make sure you have advanced menus set so they can view the nece...

Re: cadence not working
Sometimes it is necessary to "reset the sensor" if it is a combined Speed/Cadence sensor... do this by just reversing the battery in the sensor for about 10-15 seconds, then put it back in as intended. When you do this, the sensor code may change, so it will most likely be necessary to do ...

Klaus,
From the setup screens in the Newton( {UP} arrow for 2 seconds)...Select "Yes Fast Start", hit the {UP} arrow once, you will see units... select your option there, and then hold the (up) arrow for 2seconds to exit setup.

Re: Attaching Magnet on Rear Disc for TT
I know a lot of people who just glue a small magnet directly onto the disc wheel. Also, taping one is an option too. Look for something like the cadence magnet, which is thin, so it will not protrude or interfere much with the disc wheel, which is how I do it.

Re: Zero Power / Bad Tilt / Bad Wind / way messed up ride!
This is an odd occurrence, which I have not yet experienced. It is possible that the voltage dropped below a critical level. Please try a Hard Reset of the Newton, then, Fully Charge the unit. If there is no change in performance, please contact me directly at: tgore@velocomp.com Thanks.

Re: Get "SPCd Fail" message when loading new profile
I have seen this happen before. Have you re-extracted the profile from the Newton after you have sent the changes, to verify that they were indeed accepted by the Newton. I have just tried to simulate the same occurrence, and edited some profile numbers, sent them to the iBike, deleted the profile f...

Re: New Forum Section For POWERHOUSE Setup
This is an interesting topic, that actually created some discussion during the design of this app. There tends to be some confusion interpreting certain things involved in cycling. For instance, pedaling harder, and pedaling faster can often be misunderstood. A higher target cadence, does not necess...

Re: Newton and Cadence/Speed sensor on a Tandem
I believe that Trek still offers that separate cadence sensor. We stopped carrying the separate cadence sensor a while back, and transitioned into the combined sensor. I think for bicycles such as Tandems, Trikes, and Recumbents, it may be necessary at times to have the separate sensors for proper f...

Re: Where's My Newton?
The Original trade in offered a "freebie" of a universal handlebar mount OR GT Firmware... we then added a speed/cadence sensor later on by popular demand. I believe that the steer tube is $10 upgrade, and the new Dual Purpose Mount will be $20 upgrade. However, as of May 1, the Freebies a...

You can also turn trainer mode on from the iBike software. Be sure the device is connected and select Device>Turn Trainer Mode On. Sure, you can try a dab of locktite on the screws, but I wouldn't go overboard with it. Also, make sure there is a soft pad on the door to help compress the battery into the springs. If not, you can use the extra foam from the pack of rails that was sent with the unit for the door. I have also found...

Hi, I don't think that this is a big battery culprit, If you really want to maximize the battery life on the GenIII try switching your "rec int rate" from 1second to 5seconds. You will still have real time data on the iBike unit being displayed, however, in the background, it will only be ...

I have found that the contacts inside of the iDash unit themselves can become mis-aligned, thus preventing the battery from making contact. Also, I have seen a few cases where the battery is not setting properly in the charger, and the light will remain green, lending the user to believe that the ba...
