Are they not shipping yet? Seemed like others had them already?
I ordered right away and still hasn't shipped.

Re: Introducing AeroPod!
Oh man! I totally missed the release of this!
How long do you anticipate offering the upgrade from PowerPod? I've always upgraded since Model II and don't want to miss out on this oppty.

Re: need to clear powerpod data periodically?
Thanks. Wasn't sure if it was doing FIFO (first in first out) to determine what to loose. Makes sense though.

need to clear powerpod data periodically?
I typically do not use the fit files from my powerpod, instead I use it like a conventional power-meter by letting it publish my power data to my Garmin. If I use it that way do I ever really need to connect my powerpod to my computer to erase the data files? How does the powerpod deal with the fit ...

Re: First ride, low results
Hey John, I was thinking more about this on my ride today (not using PP on it though so no more data). the hills and wind should increate the wattage; they would just contribute more to the forces I would be working against. I know that there were absolutely sections of the ride where I was riding w...

Re: First ride, low results
OK, it was a small data sample. I'll watch it over next few rides and see how it fares compared to my old Newton..
Thanks as always John! Have a great weekend.

Re: First ride, low results
OK, did my O&B calibration. And included my first ride. Since today was a recovery ride not sure the NP was right, but will watch that going forward. I was still seeing some pretty big fluctuations in power readings. I tried to provide relatively steady power on most of the stretches and was wat...

Re: First ride, low results
Oh wait, maybe I missed a step? Instructions on "better accuracy" calibration say to click button after calibration, it should flash then spin wheel to solid green. I don't think I pressed the button after the 5 minute calibration ride. Would that be a problem? Planning on going out early t...

Re: First ride, low results
Yea, was a group ride. Pretty frisky. I did notice that when I looked at my computer (Wahoo Elemnt Bolt) the wattage seemed to fluctuate quite a bit even though I perceived steady(ish) power.
I do plan on doing an O&B ride soon(ish). If it's too hard to tell without it don't worry about it...

First ride, low results
So, Went for a ride with new PowerPod, and the powered seemed much lower compared to my old Newton. I was expecting higher by maybe 20%

Re: Just quick questions before first ride
Thanks John. Anything special for the 5 minute ride? Will it just start doing it when I ride? Or do I need to interact with it (press the button to start)?

Just quick questions before first ride
Got my PowerPod. Here's what I've done so far Already on current firmware Charged! Used Isaac to do setup (better accuracy) I paired with my speed sensor I paired it with my Wahoo Elemnt. So, now it shows as solid yellow. Which seems like it wants me to do a calibration ride... Thought that was only...

Re: How to correct for atmospheric pressure
Yea, I'm pretty sure I've used it in the past, someone asked me for corrected elevation data (figured iBike would be better than overage Garmin in that respect). I think the idea is that is figures out how weather related barometric pressure changes during the course of your ride, and adjusts the me...

Re: How to correct for atmospheric pressure
Sorry, wasn't talking about elevation correction... I did a long ride, and we were pretty sure a low pressure system was moving in. So, I wanted to use the tools -> Repair -> set Atmospheric Pressure to adjust the barometric pressure reading recorded on the device with what was recorded at local wea...

How to correct for atmospheric pressure
I could not figure out how to correct for atmospheric pressure.
In the UI it has me search, I get the wunderground page for my local weather. But the instructions say to "look in the address text". Can you be more specific? Do you mean the resulting URL in the browser? Or something else?

Sorry for asking, but I haven't done it in a really long time and I know you guys have done a ton to improve the process.
I assume it is just setup in Isaac and optionally out/back calibration?

Thanks!
I suppose another way to handle it is to just have it all in the newton folder regardless of version.
But I appreciate it!

My upgrade should be arriving today. I assume I am going to have to create a new profile for it since the wind port is different?

Re: Newton not working well with latest firmware
so, after hard reset, and explicitly removing DFP from wireless list, I still am having re-pairing problems. Again today when I rode, my Garmin 520 paired with speed/cadence right away. But my Newton did not, eventually showed SPD Fail. Once I hit the center button to clear the message it was all pa...

Re: Newton not working well with latest firmware
Just did that will see how it goes. I notice when I look at the profile in Issac is shows an ID for DFPM, I presume I should tell it to forget DFPM?
Also in the setting of the unit should I turn of DFP Display?

Re: Newton not working well with latest firmware
OK, so things were working mostly fine for about a month. Pairing just worked. But again this week it started flaking out on me in exactly the same way. It started by thinking it had been paired with a DFPM (which it never had been) and failed, so it would show no power. So, I would need to go throu...

Re: Newton not working well with latest firmware
When I first did the pairing I thought it might have picked up a DFPM from someone I was riding with, but he was a good 50 yards away. The second time I did the pairing (which is also when I got the odd pairing/unpairing behavior) no one was anywhere near me. I can try again next time I ride and see...
