Re: Snapshot CdA
CdA on/off is one of the menus that needs to be on. Then have power in the middle window with HR/CAD in the bottom window. The top window can be set for speed, tilt or wind. Now when coasting for about 15 seconds the bottom window will show CdA, then show HR for a few seconds then back to showing Cd...

Re: I keep breaking Newton mounts
It sounds like the stem is not round and you're getting some stress points rather than spreading the load evenly. Perhaps a slightly thicker foam will take up some of the space. Just a thought without a photo

Re: Adjusting Newton for other aero factors for race
Crr might change if the disc setup also has a tubular and the regular setup is a clincher. Compare the race setup with your everyday setup on the same bike. You can always post your profile which might give some clues.

Re: BAR GRAPH DOES NOT APPEAR
The bar graph is the power bar with the scale number to the right. You can turn it on or off in Settings > Racr Menu > PbAr. The power bar is an instantaneous graph of the current power output. This would be the equivalent of setting smoothing to zero. As the power bar gets almost full it will shift...

Which iPhone or iPod do you have? Which OS? What is the version number of the app?
I assume you have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, yes/no?

Re: iBike Newton data management
I do have to ask why anyone would keep accumulating data in the iBike. It's not like you can review history or recall any previous stats. It's sole purpose is to record data and allow it to be downloaded into whatever program one uses to track metrics. Even Isaac doesn't have this purpose so I don't...

Re: Difference between aero and road helmet profiles
You've got a good profile to use from here on. Unfortunately I can't absolutely confirm because you took a different course for the out/back but it does seem you've got a good profile. The wind scaling is in the range of the first one. I'm still surprised your tilt is as much as it is and have to as...

Re: Difference between aero and road helmet profiles
This has been discussed previously. The reason it doesn't show zero is because you're not on the bike and that's the tilt we're concerned about, not a bike just sitting there.

Re: Difference between aero and road helmet profiles
There is no need to concern yourself with the tilt as the bike sits there. Once you've done the initial tilt cal, the rest is automatically set when you finish a ride and reset the ride data. Rest assured your tilt cal is not an issue. As far as the new data you attached I'll have a look later on an...

Re: Difference between aero and road helmet profiles
After upgrading to 4.08 you will find the tilt cal in the RACR menu. Your readings may be off proportionately. So if you did a fitness test stick with that FTP result, train and race with those numbers. You're looking for IF numbers and AVG watts over the long haul and they will be in line. When you...

Re: Difference between aero and road helmet profiles
My issue with your profile is not the wind scaling, that looks pretty good. My issue is your tilt. At 3.2% it throws everything off. I suggest you redo your cal ride with the following considerations. Assuming this is a TT position your tilt should end up somewhere in the -.5 to +.5 range. It might ...

Re: Difference between aero and road helmet profiles
Helmets have a huge effect on the aero and of course that will affect wind scaling though I don't know how much. That said, I do think your wind scaling difference is pretty significant so could you post your cal rides.

Re: Discrepancy between Isaac & exported csv Max power
What did you get for Strava?
I see 695 in Isaac and 723 in the CSV file. Not sure why there's a difference but regardless it certainly isn't significant. This is a moment in time so to speak.
Interestingly the avg of both the ibr and the csv file are 162.9

Re: Newton Tracker comments and response
Russ, I think the biggest advantage of Newton Tracker is ease of use. Isaac seamlessly grabs the data from the server and blends it with your Newton data. Done. In today's world where most people have smartphones and most cyclists take their phone in case of emergency it makes things easier with one...

Re: Calibration
Awesome consistency. I would just take the profile created after the cal ride and go with it. The difference to the check cal ride is absolutely insignificant.
Remember, take a profile and stick with it. As long as your fitness test is done with the same profile you're comparing apples and apples.

Re: It's here: GPS for your Newton!
Somewhere between making sure rides that could apply get checked and not checking for every possibility is the answer. I suppose if you're on a trainer then Isaac should not look for the Newton Tracker GPS data. I'll pass this on to the powers that be. There's always some possibility that hasn't bee...

Re: It's here: GPS for your Newton!
I am surprised with power because I thought Strava would not modify the power data stream coming from an ANT+ power meter. Hmm, I uploaded my csv file and Strava did not modify it. It's certainly not the big easy graph that Isaac has but it appears to be the same data. Do you have a link to your ri...

Re: It's here: GPS for your Newton!
I've been using manual merge for years and it works very well. It is "labor intensive" and that's why I like the Newton Tracker option. Just like all the other add-ons for a Newton, the Tracker is not an absolute necessity. For many people it will make the entire process substantially easi...

Re: Differing power numbers when uploaded to Garmin Connect
@Russ: The easiest way to get the graph to display current correct values is to input the TSS values from the last 45 days. Also, apologies that I didn't take the time to explain it better. I don't even use the graph. I simply read the CTL and TSB values in their respective column and plan according...

Re: Differing power numbers when uploaded to Garmin Connect
This can get complicated with so many options. I do have to say that Isaac comes up with the same TSS as WKO+. Generally, everything is compared to WKO+. Sorry, but I don't have a good explanation why the FIT file would match and the exported CSV file from Isaac would not. SportTracks and Golden Che...

@BruceK Don't use the cal ride at 1136. Something is clearly wrong with it. The other two cal rides are OK to use and very similar in results. HOWEVER you played with the numbers and got yourself in trouble. The other day you uploaded a 40km ride and that profile has a wind scaling of 0.3xx instead ...

Re: Average Watts Way Off
You have a serious issue with your wind scaling. At .3 it's ridiculously low. Your tilt appears to be off at initial glance, however the drop in the first 5 minutes is not all that much. Yes, you should check your tilt but far more importantly check your wind scaling. Basically, take a look at the s...
