Re: Calibrating PowerPod with a DFPM
Hi John I finally got the DFPM calibration completed although I could not pair the Assioma pedals to the Powerpod so I recorded a sperate ride file and merged them into Isaac. The was not much impact to the profiles which underlines the strength of the Velocomp calibration routine. I’ve enclosed th...

Re: weird Power numbers
Thank you John. I'll recheck the battery in the cadence sensor. I don't recall that even being connected to the PP. I do have a second cadence sensor . That's correct, my street is flat . I snugged up the PP but concerned not to over tighten. Oh , I remember, just prior to turning on my street, I n...

Re: weird Power numbers
4/13: your PP was knocked out of position at the end of the ride. Notice that, on the flats at the end of your ride, your slope was 8% :-). That is what caused high watts. Make sure your PP is solidly attached and cannot rotate. Watts will be zero when cadence is zero. Make sure your cadence sensor ...

Re: new Trek Speed Concept Blendr Duo Base and Computer Mount and Device Mount Location
You can try using this setup, but because the mount is attached to the aero bars, it is very likely that the aero bars flex, and will cause problems for AeroPod. The best place to attach AP is underneath the stem. We have a mounting solution for this configuration; email technicalsupport@velocomp.co...

Re: new Trek Speed Concept Blendr Duo Base and Computer Mount and Device Mount Location
I can't tell from the photos how the mount is attached to the handlebars. If the mount is stiffly attached the handlebars this is fine; if the mount is attached to the aero bars this won't work correctly, because the aero bars flex. Please show photos showing how mount is attached to bike handlebars.

Hi, I am using Mac OS 12.01 I'm not going to buy a Windows license just to use Isaac. I hope Isaac/Mac will be updated and available in the future. Yuichi You should be able to find Windows without any license fee. The fundamental problem with Isaac/Mac is the National Instruments drivers, which do...

Re: Intel Mac Users: how to install Isaac 5.1 macOS Catalina, Monterey, Big Sur, and earlier

Unfortunately it appears that Isaac/Mac is not compatible with your version of macOS. You will need to do the same thing th...

Re: Calibrating PowerPod with a DFPM
Hi John I finally going to have a bit of time to do this DFPM calibration. In terms of pairing the Assioma pedals, do I actually need to do this via the PowerPod and then do a out and back ride. Before seeing your post I’d just downloaded the profile from the PowerPod and updated the DFPM 5 Chr ANT...

Hi John, I uploaded a video of the operation of Isaac to YouTube. https://youtu.be/w3TdUW2RhUY Yuichi Thank you for the video. Just to confirm: you are able to correctly get the serial number and firmware version of your PP, correct? There is one other thing to try: 1) Erase your ride files 2) Do a...

Hey there How do you guys remove a broken pitot tube from the PP? It broke right above the thread. Gluing e.g. a chopstick to the pitot bit in the PP to be able and wind it out? As I am on vacation right now: What would I expect from the readings now that the pitot tube is gone? Will the PP recalib...

Re: Intel Mac Users: how to install Isaac 5.1 macOS Catalina, Monterey, Big Sur, and earlier
If you can read your serial number, it is likely that the problem is an error in the file structure of your ride memory, making it impossible to download your ride. The solution is to use the command "Device/Erase All Ride Data". You'll lose your ride data, but hopefully this will fix thin...

Re: Karoo 2
Thank you John for looking into this, much appreciated. To confirm, ANT+ can connect to multiple devises at once where BLE only one device? Also, PowerPod only connects by way of ANT+? PP can connect either by ANT+ or BLE. I would connect only by ANT+; if you have connected through BLE, I would dis...
Re: Karoo 2
It looks like the Karoo 2 is a great bike computer, but their website sucks :-(. I had to fish around for 15 minutes to get the tech info I was seeking. It's not totally clear to me how Karoo gets its distance info--from GPS data, or from speed sensor data. Karoo 2 works both in BLE and ANT+ mode. I...

Re: Wireless ID in profiles
Everything is OK. Some years ago Garmin went to a 6 digit identifier for a wireless ID. You PP correctly reads that ID. However, Isaac is programmed to read/write 5 digit identifiers. So, it does not correctly report on-screen what is stored in PP, and it can't write 6 digit identifiers, either. How...

Hi John, the last year my Power Pod worked fine, but since a few weeks the readings became odd again. I've attached a ibr ride-file from a tour I've done yesterday. It looks like you have a good setup.
The variations are quite small so it is not a huge problem overall. Check to be certain there is no play in your fork tube; PP can detect slope deviations as small as 0.5%
