Please post both your iBike file and your PT file. Note that, if your PT is wireless, your DFPM information should be in your iBike file.

Re: New Newton firmware 602 coming
Just updated the firmware 602 and noticed that the battery is now showing 0% and the temp is showing 0 F. For Battery I see this both in the setup and the totals screen. 0 F is seen in the enviro screen. Help. thanks, Aaron Do a hard reset; press left, center, bottom, and right keys simultaneously....

Re: New Newton firmware 602 coming
Any thought to changing the rounding display algorithm for distance? Currently I find the distance error/uncertainity of +/- 0.05 miles to be such that I can't use the iBike with a route sheet. I would much prefer a display which truncated the distance to at least actual traveled rather than roundi...

We are all getting more experience. It's too soon to tell what is non-normal. Also, we have not yet done power consumption optimization in the firmware. Please keep watching. If there is a problem we will cover it under warranty. In the mean time, there is nothing wrong with charging-up your Newton!

Yes, you will be able to make the power numbers less jumpy. I'm using the 5 second setting and it's great.GWPOS wrote:Does this smoothing keep the wattage numbers from jumping around so much? Never used a garmin so just wanted to know what this smoothing feature will do. Thanks

We've listened to your requests and have been able to add many of them. Unfortunately, we cannot change the file management system of the iBike; therefore, selective ride file erase is "off the table". But we've added some features we hope you'll like. Here is what's coming; look for it ve...

Re: Charging Newton+
It's not surprising that your Newton needed full charging. When we receive the batteries they have very little charge in them. The battery will discharge a bit even when the Newton is "off". We will ask battery supplier for recommended charging method; for what it's worth, I find that, by ...

Re: A couple of things I've noticed...
4 responses: 1) For correct TSS and IF scores, your FTP needs to be set correctly in your Newton. Factory value is 80.6W; did you reset it to your measured value? 2) I'm very surprised by your battery life. We see a discharge rate of about 2.5% per hour. Since I happen to download my rides daily, my...

Re: Setup with Handlebar Mount for Newton?
Good question! I set it up as a stem mount, since it is centered over the stem. The Isaac SW asks this question, in case the user does not do a Cal Ride. In reality, once you do the Cal Ride, the Newton will figure things out in the FW, so your answer is "overridden" correctly by the actua...

Sounds like your cadence sensor is not working. This can happen if its wire is over-stressed.

Re: Price differences on web orders
When you order a complete Newton you are purchasing a completely new system and paying full price for it. The Dual mount is standard. When you order a trade-in you are getting a $200 discount. The Universal Handlebar mount ships standard with the trade-in (as it has been since the trade-in program b...

Re: cda questions.
I've looked at all your ride files. You have done four (and maybe 5) calibration rides. In my view that is 3-4 too many. No measurement instrument will measure exactly the same result, time after time. Your WSF varies from .70, .765, .783, and .834. I would use .78 and be done with it. However, you'...

Re: Having issues calibrating ibike
I looked at your 48 mile ride. Your profile and ride file both seem fine. What's puzzling is your FTP; you've got it set to 209.6W. This seems pretty low for a rider of your ability. You've got several sections, both on the hill and on the flats, where you're pulling nearly 300W for periods of sever...

Re: Fitness Test and Wind
When the winds are strong, your bike speed will either be slower (because of headwinds) or faster (because of tail winds). So, your fitness test will work either way. That said I find that it's better do testing into headwinds, because I don't have to worry about riding fast enough to have a net opp...
