Suggestion

Will it make a difference if the front scoop of the RWS be reshaped like a spear instead of a funnel? The stock Newton has the green tab to help divert wind on crosswind. Will it make a difference if something like this be added to the front scoop of the RWS?

Re: Feature request

thanks Fernando. I just thought it might be a good feature to keep track of pacing especially for long course training with breaks in between. I did 2 intervals in the file. One 45 min and the other 39 min. I thought I was under performing in each interval until I downloaded the file and checked Isa...

Re: Feature request

Hi John, no, I'm doing just a regular tempo ride intervals. Here's the file. There is about 10 w difference between Avg power and NP on both intervals.

Thanks!

Feature request

Is it possible to have the option of displaying "normalized power" instead of "average power" in the user interval? It would be useful when doing intervals on the fly instead of resetting the unit and keep clicking back to see NP. Thanks!

Here is the 28 mile ride after the Cal ride. I'm also posting another out and back I did today to check calibration. Again, it shows "noticeable change".

Thank you!!

Re: Help with TT set up

Here's the update on my recent RWS set up. Before rolling out, I set up Newton using Isaac. Rode for 5 miles, Did "Cal wind" then do "Cal ride" on a 3/4 mile loop route. Went on a 28 mile ride after. Did an out and back within the 28 mile ride. Got home and plugged Newton to Isaa...

Re: Help with TT set up

Just installed RWS on my TT bike and was wondering if it's better to do cal ride on a straight road with stops or on 3/4 mile loop with no stops. Should I do 2 cal ride? "aero/clip on position" and "hoods"?When I get 2 profiles, Can you advice how to convert power numbers from ae...

Help with TT set up

1. how far forward or back on the aero bar is the ideal location to put the tt mount without having a vibration causing effect on the unit? 2. If I'm on the aero bar, I can't help but pull on the bar. This might effect the tilt calculations depending on the location of the unit along the aero bar. 3...

Re: '14 data error' message

Yes. my issue has been resolved. It turned out that the internal battery wasn't holding charge even though the display was showing it has enough charge. It messed up the sensors too somehow. I sent mine back and their great tech support took care of the problem right away.

I'm having the same problem. Newton freezes on several occasion. When I hard reset, the screen display "15 data error" . It goes back to normal screen but power reading and speed is wrong. Eventually, everything freezes again.

Re: Calibration

Did a Cal ride with my new Newton. After the Cal ride, I did a 2 mile up and back for checking calibration later. When I plugged the Newton to my computer, Isaac asked me to Dial-in settings. What I noticed is that the information pulled from Newton for "position" is "hoods" and ...

Re: Newton Display

I think there is no need for the sliding bar graph since we can set it to our desired filter at "SET FILT" - Less clutter on the screen. The little numbers can be eliminated too or maybe used for something else.....just a suggestion to Velocomp :-)

Re: Analyze Route

If your iBike is calibrated well, then these tools aren't really necessary at all. Check Calibration is useful when you're first starting out with the iBike, or when you've just installed your iBike on a second bike. Analyze Bike Settings lets you do things post-ride, such as adjust bike rider weig...

Re: A major improvement: OS2 for Newton

Did Cal ride today just to see if any improvements due to new firmware updates lately. After downloading Cal ride, I got a value of 1.015 for wind scaling, -.5 for tilt and Nan for the rest. I extracted the profile in Newton and got a value of 1.017 for wind scaling, -.5 for tilt and the rest of the...

Switch Profile

I downloaded a recent ride and realized I had the wrong profile in Newton. I use the "switch profile after the ride" tool and saved the file with the updated profile. When I re-check the profile, it still shows the old one that i wanted replaced.
Anybody have same issues?
