Just south of that Google Earth capture is the rise, 4% average for a few meters. (A pinpoint selection in Isaac read 7%.)
My point really, is no power was displayed.

Power readings drop to zero
During a ride, usually after an hour or so, the power reading will occasionally display zero, even if I am putting significant force on the pedals. When the power does start to display, it rises slowly. This has been going on for a while. During my last ride, I powered up a short hill, (2H:03:49) an...

Using Cycleops Powercal
I am considering getting a Cycleops Powercal for my winter bike. The Newton really doesn't like a lot of rain, especially a paceline in the rain. I had a Powercal in the past, and over a long ride, the numbers are close. My winter rides are more recovery and base building. To set up the Newton 5 to ...

Incorrect date in Newton ride file
The date / time is incorrect my Newton ride file. Ride was 5/22/15 and the Newton date is 4/26/15. I think the computer date was wrong.
How can I correct the embedded file date / time to sync with NT gps data?

Upload to Strava from Tracker
Suggestion: The ability to export Tracker data to Strava before uploading ride file to Isaac and then exporting to Strava.
Also, from Isaac export directly to Strava like we can export directly to TrainingPeaks.

Thanks.
The "Automatically Analyze Route" was indeed checked. Now it's not. I set the "Undo Analysis", and the files, which is the same as the file you returned, looks more like I would expect.

Super human power on descent
I think the reason Peter Sagan seems to struggling a bit this season is that he has caught wind on my AWESOME POWER! On a ride today, I recorded power reading of 1300W - on a mountain descent. Really? I can't do 1300W of power with a rod of uranium in my jersey pocket. My wife tells me I'm awesome, ...

Re: Powerstroke Ideal vs Real World
I am finding PS very helpful in correcting my pedaling technique. I had a couple of knee injuries (hockey of course, I'm Canadian), and one knee has a torn PCL which is now structurally not as stable. It would be interesting to see how different that leg is vs the other , vis-a-vis power propulsion,...

Re: Powerstroke Ideal vs Real World
Yes, I agree about the length of the segments. My rides are a minimum of 1 hour and the plot for the total ride is very different than shorter segments. Steep climbs are another thing altogether.

Powerstroke Ideal vs Real World
I apologize if this is covered elsewhere, I didn't see it. I love PowerStroke - a real eye opener. My problem (among many others) is trying to achieve a real world ideal pedal stroke. On flat ground I can see the achievable goal of perfect pedal pattern, but on steep climbs, i just can't see this as...

Re: Newton Tracker not working on new Isaac install
I think I just got it. In auto-pause NT does what I ask - pauses recording. I know realize that NT will not start recording again when GPS movement is detected, I have to pull out my phone and "start" again to resume recording. Is this correct? Any way of implementing "Auto-resume?&qu...

Re: Newton Tracker not working on new Isaac install
Thanks,I did finally realize I had to sync NT with the new copy of Isaac. What didn't work was NT. The ride was approx. 90km over 3h12' of moving time. However, NT only recorded the first leg. I was stationary for about 30 minutes. Does NT stop recording after a certain amount of non-movement? I hav...

An addendum: I managed to upload GPS files, time was adjusted. However, the ride file name, 03_07_2015_1731_90 (now it is is km when I re-uploaded the ride file) and the ride date in the data box on left are different. The date in the data box on left is 02_28_2016 7:201AM. Clearly something is out-...

Newton Tracker not working on new Isaac install
I installed Isaac on another computer, went through all the plug-in and support installations and downloaded a ride file. I have Newton Tracker unlocked on the Newton, and NT on my iPhone. I started and stopped the ride. (There is a slight issue with this as well, see below. Related?) When I click o...

Issac displays different power
In Isaac 4, I have noticed on a short ride that the Max power displayed in the summary pane on left (460W) is quite different then that found in the graph (684W in the detail window at the bottom of the graphs) when the point is selected.

John, I hope your team can find a solution for wet weather performance. Aircraft pitot tubes and the pressure sensors function in wet and freezing conditions. Of course, those are around $10K each!
I look forward to an all-weather version Newton.

John, Interesting point about cost difference vs. upgrade costs, a point taken. I have no issues with Newton in principle, and Isaac is indeed unique and has real depth. Re: Firmware 5.1
Hmmm. Seems like I am pulling out my wallet a lot for the Newton. I have Garmin Vector on my race bike and Garmin hasn't charged me for any enhancements. $50 for GPS (hasn't yet worked for me - what a waste! The paradox is I use Garmin data), $100 for pedal stroke balance, $50 for user selected data...

Thanks John. I have a 5 year old 3GS, (it really doesn't owe me anything) and NT GPS Power saving was on. I have turned it off. I'm going for a ride this afternoon and we'll see how it does.
