Any chance we could get a description on the features? Like how does it recharge? Is it easily moveable from bike to bike if you got extra stem cap mounts? Ect.
Thank you,
Rich

How about some more info. I'm not seeing any press on the mount. Just the Dash. Thanks.

Re: Using iBike on a Mountain or Cross bike
There are others threads on this subject, and even a suggested friction number. I use my iSport on my MTB all the time. It holds up just fine. It doesn't give super accurate information during the ride, but the averages are about right. I would recommend surfing the archives a bit more. I had been a...

Re: Fit Train intervals
Having read the book it was my understanding that only a few workouts have three level choices. Level 1 only has 2. I just hit level 3 today so I'll see what that has. I suspect that there are many of us who only dream of hitting level six, and just couldn't speak to it.

Re: Fit test off
If I understand things correctly, a real fit test would be you average over an hour. The ibike's fit takes a 20 minute TT and then calculates what your average would be over an hour. I belive that explain's the discrepancy you are seeing. Or, I'm totally wrong.

Had a mounting idea for you guys
Is there and chance you guys could make a (wireless) stem cap mount (ala Dash) for regular iBike users? I can't afford 3 or 4, or even 2 $150 wireless mounts. Right now I am using a topeak bar extender as my permanent mount, and switching it between bikes. A stem cap mount would be easier to move be...

The tss (or total stress score?) is cumulative as well, and might be a more satisfying number than calories burned.

Upgrade questions
If I sent my iSport in for a GT upgrade would you guys also do a firmware upgrade? And, would you e-mail me the files that are on there already? Also, if I did an upgrade to an iPro would there be any kind of discount on a GT upgrade? I I don't have a 705, I just want to be able to use Garmin's sens...

Video training Blog with iSport
Don't know why I didn't post this sooner. I won a free month of training through Veloreviews.com. So in return I decided to do a video blog. I talk a fair amount about my iSport. It's real no BS impressions of it everyday, the issues I have with it, and the out right usefulness of it at the same tim...

Re: Ibike dash
I'm going to plug this again. I just got the new Android powered Garminfone from T-mobile a few weeks ago and I really like it. I have used it on every ride I've been on and so far it out performs my quest without breaking a sweat. I am just praying they make a Edge 605 type app for it, because all ...

Re: Garmin GSC-10 v. iBike Sensors
Thanks guys. It sounds like I really want to upgrade to the iPro at some point. Knowing the numbers change that much after processing is discouraging to hear as an iSport owner. But it does help me make up my mind a bit more. If I'm going to have to put a bunch of money into upgrading the iSport, th...

Re: Garmin GSC-10 v. iBike Sensors
Great thread! A few questions. Isn't the ibike compatible with training peaks software? There was a mention that the iBike software wasn't very useful. How does it compare to Garmin's Training center? I had heard that the 705 doesn't record the power readings. Has that changed? I'm thinking it's che...

Re: No iPhone no Future?
The biggest reason I am interested in pairing iBike technology with a smart phone is to add the GPS and mapping features to what I already have now (iBike Aero). Then I'd have everything I want in a single unit on the handlebars. I don't think you will get the mapping without a data plan. Perhaps t...

Re: Can you relate % of HRM to % of ftp?
Thanks a bunch guys! That is all quite helpful. And if the coach is training people with power meters, they should really learn about power training more. It shouldn't be up to the clients to be guinea pigs for the coach to learn. It's free coaching for a month, and he is a successful coach of peopl...

Can you relate % of HRM to % of ftp?
So, as I mentioned in another thread, I've won a month of free coaching. Well, I'm more of Guinea pig really. Any way, he apparently doesn't know really how to work with watts, but he know heart rates. For effort on work outs he's given me %s of HRM. Can I just simply apply these percentages to my f...

Re: Power Threshold?
OK, so what did you calculate your FTP to be? You should still be able to come up with a number for your coach. I did a new fit test since the last one was 3 months old. I got a rating of 1.56. So 1.56w/kg*100kg*.95 = 148 ftp. I apologize for wasting your guys time. I normally would have dug around...

Thanks for that! All of the features are really cool. you did dash my hopes of a Garmin phone iBike dash when you talked about the OS. I doubt Garmin's phone is even close to iPhone standards.

I have the Garmin solution. Make it compatible with the Garmin phone. Real GPS + iBike power meter + smart phone. I am going to preface these answers with a disclaimer that I am a new iSport user and I am pretty sure everything I say is right, but not 100% certain. 1. It is really old (my iSport have 4.17), I don't know if it's a gen III or not. I thought all iSports were Gen III because they are a new model. S...

I have an iAero and when I enter RACR it goes next to Est Fric > TSS > FTP CFG I don't know if the iSport has the same menu options but I thought it did. Check your reference manual. Since the fitness test is 20 minutes long, the resulting FTP number is already adjusted by 5%, IIRC. Anyways as NCH1...

Re: Power Threshold?
I hate to disagree, but there is no numbers in the racer menu at all except Log hours and odometer mileage. I cannot find any ftp numbers anywhere in my unit. The only thing close is the w/kg. I did some digging, and ftp is not the w/kg*weight (in kg). You have to take that number and then multiply ...

Power Threshold?
I just won a month of free training with Intergate. He asked if I had a heart rate monitor. I told him better than that, I have a power meter! He then asked if I knew my power threshold. I don't. how do I use my iSport to figure that out?
Thanks,

Re: Calibration doesn't seem right
That was a very helpful thread!
One question:
1) What do you mean by, "You do not need to do another Est Aero prior to the cal ride." Is there an Est Aero test? On the iSport you just select one of 3 choices for estimating aero. Thats all there is right?
Thanks,
Rich

I had a simular problem as the original poster the other day. I did a strength Fit train on the way out got bored and decided to do fit test for the first time in like 2 months.
