Re: PPv5 calc ride / too many files

Mmm No automatic laps... i pushed every lap thats near 4,9kmt each. The profile is the number 3 as you suggested. Mmm i felt that i was phshing hard in some sectors and the pp showed forexample 140w...or 160w... i know that was near 200w. Also at the max i know i was near 300. Iam in argentina. Tod...

Re: PPv5 calc ride / too many files

Hi John, did several riides with yuor suggested setup file and this is the today one. I think and felt a bit low figures...like 25-30 watts lower than my perception. Sometimes i know that is too low. Check it please. thanks a lot I'm seeing a lot of laps in this ride file; are you using an automati...

Re: Problem with a PowerPod v5

Incidentally, I initially got the powerpod for my long stride Elliptigo (20 inch wheels), and recently started using it with my Elliptigo RSUB (28 inch wheels). Now when I download rides, the distances in the titles of the rides seem to be randomly longer or shorter than the actual ride (eg see my ...

Re: Problem with a PowerPod v5

I initially thought it happened again, but this is something different. I noticed (as before) that slope and wind speed (as reported by the AeroPod CdA data field for Garmin) had stopped updating. But this time, power was still being reported. After finishing the ride, and uploading to garmin, I co...

It should work without problem.

Uninstall AP 2.0 from your 820 and reinstall. Hopefully this will fix things.

I don't see anything obviously wrong with your ride file, but your symptom is consistent with what we have seen before.

Let me know if this happens again.

Re: Problem with a PowerPod v5

It sounds like your unit locked-up during the ride. This is a mysterious bug that we are aware of that, fortunately, happens very very rarely. A hard reset fixes the problem (but it wipes out the distance of the ride). It's OK to do a hard reset during the ride, but hopefully this won't be necessary...

Re: PPv5 calc ride / too many files

Your profile has 2 problems: 1) your CdA is incorrect; the ride file shows 0.465 but your TT CdA is 0.25. This will cause watts to be way too high 2) Your wind scaling is slightly low. This will cause watts to be slightly low Both are corrected in the attached profile. Your AP is set to profile 4; t...

Re: PowerPod w/ ElliptiGo long-stride bike

On an Elliptigo you stand up pretty straight, which means that CdA is higher. If CdA is too high then you'll see high watts when traveling at high speeds. I looked at your ride file with a CdA of .575; that does seem to fix the few outlier spots. Let me know how your next ride proceeds. PS: I used t...

Re: Outdoor Velodrome Calibration

An outdoor velodrome is a closed loop (a good thing). If you're planning to do aero testing, make sure your AP is set to profile 4. When calibrating AP at an outdoor velodrome, ride your loops up to the 50W point; the number will stall at 50 and the status light turn red. Slow down to a near stop (8...

Re: PowerPod w/ ElliptiGo long-stride bike

Great, thanks! After sending that profile to the device, should I do a new calibration ride? Or is it good to go? You're good to go; no need to recalibrate. I think it is really neat that you're getting power numbers from your Elliptigo. You might want to tell Elliptigo about how you are using PP a...

Re: PowerPod w/ ElliptiGo long-stride bike

You have good intuition! When coasting down a hill, CdA will be correct when the "braking" disappears. In your case, applying a CdA of 0.65 to your profile 1, and applying this profile to your "profile 2" ride, results in everything looking great. Load the attached profile into y...

Re: Problema PP con Sensores

Does it look like this? This sensor should work with PowerPod. I suggest you pair the sensor to your bike computer, then spin the wheel and confirm on your bike computer that the sensor is sending information. Assuming the sensor is functioning, try pairing it to your PP. If sensor is functioning bu...

1) Reassemble your unit. You don't want any water leaking to the inside! 2) The stickers permit air to enter the interior of the unit, but block water. They are important 3) After reassembling everything, you should be able to run water into the intake of the wind port. Once you have cleared the de...

Do a hard reset (press-hold for 12 secs; after a few seconds light will flash green, keep holding button until light goes out briefly, then starts flashing again. Release the button).

Hopefully this will fix things.

Re: weird Power numbers

The hard reset restores the proper sequencing of internal software commands. Your profile data is unchanged, so there is no need to do a hard reset for each profile.

If you want to add sensor IDs to your different profiles, you will need to do a new sensor pairing and cal ride for each profile.

Re: weird Power numbers

In regards to BLE, only my phone is connected to the Garmin. Mainly for "Live track". All sensors and PP are via Ant+. When I perform any sensor /PP , phone is not in the area. This is very odd, because we do not transmit the word "PowerPod" by ANT+; only in our BLE transmission...
