Re: power when coasting
When you are coasting downhill and spinning your legs, the iBike's zero cadence = zero power "rule" is bypassed. Since bike speeds are generally high on downhills, the opposing force of wind increases significantly. To get zero power, this opposing wind force must be precisely offset by th...

The symptoms persist. I don't know whether I mentioned that the unit has not always behaved this way. I just wish I could identify what precipitated this change. I don't know what it's worth, but I've attached the most recent ride file. All of your ride data (speed/cadenceHR/power) is recorded cont...

Re: HELP - Newton+ Setup Issues
Your wind scaling factor is low. Try the attached profile. This was created using the Analyze/Check Calibration feature of Isaac. The assumption in this profile is that your average wind speed in the 17 mile ride was zero, and that you finished the ride where you started it. Once you load this profi...

Re: Speed and Distance variance compared To Garmin 500
If the wheel circumference readings set in your Garmin unit are identical to the wheel circumference readings in your Newton, then speed and distance readings should be identical. I don't know how to check wheel circumference readings in the Garmin, but in the Newton you can determine your wheel cir...

If you already have iBike software installed on your PC, when you upgrade to Isaac all of your older settings will remain intact. Isaac software works with all generations of iBikes.

Make sure you have removed the protective cover that is on the LCD screen. It is a very thin, matte-finish cover.

Same comment. There is negligible shift in the before/after stuff; about a 2% change.

Re: Analyze Route and Analyze Tilt Advanced View
Sometimes I worry we make things worse with all of the information we provide. Please note that, after applying the changes, the results change by only 3 watts! This is an insignificant correction, about 2%... We don't show the tilt plot as a matter of practice, because the Newton firmware does such...

If you've done a hard reset and the centre button is still not responding, then most definitely it is a hardware issue.

Indeed I think I ripped mine off the second time I put it on the mount. Haven't had much rain here in MI until recently. But I did wind up in a down pour last week that blocked the wind port and I did not have any other issues with water ingress. I once had a leaky faceplate and was in a drenching ...

I was thinking the other day it would be kinda cool or convenient in the training modes to somehow scale ones FTP to equal 100 and the display to show your target watts and current watts on that scale...sure it's cool to look at bigger, actual numbers but my brain would process 85 as representing 8...

By the way, in your Isaac software there is a menu item, "Tools/Repair/Repair Ride for Missing Cadence" you can use to see what your Newton was recording I highlighted your entire ride (there were cadence dropouts all over the place) and you can see you did have a good ride, with lots of h...
