I agree with you.
For reasons that I don't completely understand, your rolling resistance is not right in the original file. The Check Calibration sets it to the correct value.
Load this profile into your Newton and all should be well

Re: iBike heart rate monitor
I don't see anything in your ride file that suggests that your HR strap is working improperly.
You might want to wear your HR strap indoors, and use your Newton to check your resting heart rate.

The only way to do this right now is, in Isaac, to log out of the NT account, then log in whenever you use NT.

Re: APS not switching profiles what is wrong
You have 2 bikes. The other thing you need to be 100% certain about is that only ONE bike has its sensors turned on. If both bike sensors are on then the Newton will find the sensor of the most-recently paired bike. Do the following: 1) Spin the wheel of the bike you want to use 2) Make sure the oth...

Re: stuck in scan mode
Do a hard reset. Press the left, right, bottom, and center buttons simultaneously. Your screen may go blank, resetting the unit. If that does not work then you have a more recent model; press-hold the center button CONTINUOUSLY, without letting go, for about 10 seconds, until the screen goes blank. ...

Re: APS not switching profiles what is wrong
Make sure you don't have the same wireless IDs stored in two different profiles. Also, make sure that your profiles are "adjacent"; that is, profile 1 is for bike 1, profile 2 is for bike 3 is correct, profile 1 for bike 1 and profile 3 for bike 2 is not correct (there is a gap of profiles).

Re: iBike heart rate monitor
That sounds very high. Please post a ride file showing HR data. HR straps are a bit tricky to use; you have to be sure they are moistened before attaching them, and that they fit securely around your chest. The HR strap we sell is the same kind used by Garmin. Because so few of our customers purchas...

Re: Quarq data being read by Newton
I'll eventually use the Newton on some of my other bikes that also have other types of DFPMs, so I'm wondering if the same principle applies. For instance, I've got a Stages on my TT bike and PowerTaps on some older road bikes. As a rule, when I use the Newton, should I also use a speed/cadence sen...

Re: Quarq data being read by Newton
The problem is your speed/cadence sensor setup. The Newton reads data from the speed/cadence sensor. When cadence = 0 power = 0, but since you aren't using the cadence magnet the Newton thinks there is zero cadence, thus forcing power to zero. Attach the cadence magnet to your crank arm, make sure c...

Re: Power zero over rough roads
One of the features of Dynamic Power Smoothing is that it can show second-to-second variations, if those variations exceed a certain threshold. When wattage is more even, the filtering reverts to a longer time period. In fact, under some circumstances DPS is as close as you can get to raw, unfiltere...

Re: Power zero over rough roads
Unless you are riding a TT bike your CdA is way too low. Coast Downs are tricky things to do and I don't think yours was done correctly. Low CdA would result in artificially low watts, particularly on flats or downhills. You are using the same bike as in your prior ride, so I returned your CdA to th...

Something is corrupted in the app's data files.
Delete the app, reinstall it, and hopefully that will take care of things. Unfortunately you will lose the GPS data stored in the app.

Re: Climbing Total
According to your ride file, you rode 34 miles. It looks like you had two long climbs; one had a slope of about 1.4% and the other a bit over 2%. I don't know how to gain 1477 feet on these kinds of climbs and slopes. Suspiciously, the Garmin is about twice the height of the Newton. I strongly suspe...

Re: SPEED CADENCE
Make sure your cadence sensor and cadence magnet are positioned so that the cadence magnet passes within 1-2 coin widths of the cadence sensor.
The problem is that the magnet and sensor components are too far apart.
