Re: new iBike Newton, last ride not recorded?
So... if the battery in the Newton is low it will end the ride, save the data and start a new ride. This can happen a couple of times before the battery actually gives out. It does this seamlessly so the data displayed still shows totals although it's been split into separate so as to lose as littl...

Re: Use of DFPM data by iAero or Newton+
I checked and Cm is 1.02 even if I have a Powertap as a sensor paired to iAero. So now I am confused why to multiply the raw power data of my iBike by 1.02 instead of 1.00.

Re: Use of DFPM data by iAero or Newton+
... that is, the forces on the crank will be about 2% higher than those measured by the PT or by the iBike. 1.02 is the Cm factor that you will find in Isaac. I forgot to mention that I have a PT Elite+, type is set to 5 next to ID of Power In and DFPM Model is set to PT ANT+ Sport. Now I feel I un...

Re: Use of DFPM data by iAero or Newton+
Thx for the explanation. So do you follow the opposite way that I assumed to make powers calculated by iBike and the DFPM comparable before getting continuous CdA with the help of a DFPM other than PT, do you?

Use of DFPM data by iAero or Newton+
Sorry if it was already discussed, but does iBike consider that Powertap measures at the downstream of the chain, why the other DFPMs do not? I mean iBike can work the power data without considering any drivetrain efficieny, which is not the case with eg SRM. I remember that there is some types of D...

May I get any reaction as regards whether my understanding about this issue is just simply wrong or my bug report is something that will be shortly fixed?

Some exporting facilities including fitness file converters like TcxConverter or gpsies.com/convert do require GPS data to make the conversion.
But why dont you simply use .csv of Isaac? For your sake I tested it and TrainingPeaks seems to eat it flawlessly.

English vs metric bug STILL persists in Isaac 2.1.4
I upgraded to 2.0.1, but i found that the users with metric background still cannot get rid of the returning english setting in some menus as it is the case for a long while. For the list where I found returning english setting see http://www.ibikeforum.com/viewtopic.php ... 757#p15256

It is the same issue with metric units reverting to english, which will be fixed too. Look for a new build in the next few days. Do you mean you are about to fix all the instances of sticking to english units? Like in all the menu items of Analyze menu column or in Tools/Effort speed? Or in Edit pr...

Re: Calibration ride does not "CALIBRATE"
But it did not find anything. That raised my question. Again what happened: 1. I made a ride today. I also made a proper cal ride w/o coast downs and Crr was set to fix in iBike before the cal ride. The profile is there it is downloadable by Isaac, I tried. 2. I downloaded all the rides including th...

Auto tilt again
Sorry for my short memory, but I dont remember what I read about auto tilt. Is this process ALSO needed to make some correction for rough roads in order to increase the displayed power to give a better estimation or is it ONLY to calculate the tilt to get a proper slope even if the tilt is not prope...

Is Cal ride periodically needed?
I own my Gen3 for 6 months or so. It was not so easy to make a calibration with my trekking bike, because I had got a constant tailwind for some rides. But finally I could sort it out to an acceptable extent. Then I put my trekking bike into the garage for the winter and dug for it only this week. I...

Re: Calibration ride does not "CALIBRATE"
1) When you download your ride using the "Download Coast Downs and Calibration Ride" method you either must have done some coast downs or you need info from another power meter to work with. 2) If you download the ride and click "Check Calibration" then coast downs are not neede...

Re: Adjust "errors" in slope after a ride
At 30km/h, a difference in slope from 1.1% to 1.8% and the cda will increase from 0.35 to 0.50). Just a tiny question. Why dont you simply say that independently from the speed the difference in slope from 1.1% to 1.8% equals to a change of 0.007 in Crr? I mean a measurement error in slope can be c...

Re: Using Newton on a Touring Bike
I am not an expert in ibike calibration, but my finding was that best method for estimating Crr is making out and back cal rides at a speed being close to the average riding speed of everyday use.
Maybe, I am wrong, but that what I experienced with gen3.

Re: Using Newton on a Touring Bike
Sorry but I disagree. You may need barometric pressure, because in my case it is the air pressure at sea level, which is corrected by your altitude to get the air pressure at that altitude. At least in my country the air pressure published by all the national weather data station are adjusted to sea...

I calculated the air density using a complex formula that I built up from two others found on web, so I could incorporate more variables into one formula than it was possible just relying on the web. Anyway is there any way to roll back those versions of iBike Software which were tailored to GenIII. I mean can I download some previous versions?

Did I raise the question in an inaccurate way? Did I make a comment with an inappriate tone? Has the support of Isaac stopped if an inquiry is not linked to the latest generation of the products?

Time zones used by the forum engine
I live in CET meaning Central European Time Zone, which is UTC+1 (GMT+1 in the winter, GMT+2 in the DST).
After whole Europe switched to the normal wintertime, happened last Sunday, the timestamps of my posts are shown incorrectly, so I cheated my timezone to UTC+0 to get the proper timestamps.
