Re: wind speed problem, the same rider
Actually I have the same problem with my iAero. I played a lot with finetuning my profile(s), but the phenomenon returns. I dont know what else I could do. Sometimes (10-15% of the total time spent on the saddle) the wind calculation seems to work, but typically I get the "always tail wind"...

Wind repair => Total climb is recalculated
I use the latest version of Isaac. Since I had lots of problems with the displayed wind speed during a ride, I decided to use the Wind repair function in Isaac. The repair marvelously gave an avg power being in line with an estimation of a 3rd party software, but ISAAC decreased the total climb of 1...

Re: Looking for Gen3 handlebar mount (maybe from a Newton user)
You all may remember that the only goal that I have with iBike is to see the environmental data while riding, so I dont want to invest relevantly more money. Moreover I contacted iBike Store after the feedback from Tribike, but their price is too much for me considering that my present handlebar mo...

Re: Looking for a Gen3 handlebar mount
I contacted iBike Store, but their price is too much for me considering that my present handlebar mount works, just costs me USD1 per ride on my trekking bike. Primarily I use my road bike, so it happens very rarely that I use my trekking bicycle. Nevertheless if somebody around has a used handleba...

Re: odometer limits
We have discontinued all development on Gen I/II/III products. I think I "made" some development on Gen3 using a hidden bug of Isaac. :-) I did more tests, this time without involving Isaac, and I must say there is a bug in the 4.26 firmware of Gen3. When setting the odometer for both pro...

Rechargable mount works on the stem or more precisely on top of the steer tube, right? No way that I would put my unit there, the constraints are my other beloved gadgets. You know my handlebars look like server rooms

Re: Looking for Gen3 handlebar mount (maybe from a Newton user)
Yes, wireless. Yes, I did. One mount has eaten three batteries with ride times of 6, 4 and 1 hours.
The other works well with one coin battery after appr 8 hours of riding. All the batteries are from the same set of Energizer CR2032.
But thanks for caring.

Looking for a Gen3 handlebar mount
Hi, I have two handlebar mounts for my Gen3 iAero, but one of them seems to drain the battery even when it is not connected to the unit at all. I checked ibikesports.com, but I could find only USB mount for Gen3, no handlebar mounts for sale any longer. If you have a properly working Gen3 handlebar ...

Re: Displayed wind is still unstable (aka incorrect)
Thanks for giving a feedback. It was useful. Having water in the unit is almost impossible, and the only difference between the equipments I had when I properly set up the unit and those in the ride on Saturday was a big pack, but behind the saddle. There is one gadget ion my hadlebar that might cau...

A screnshot
A proof using the ibr file I attached to my previous post:
Wind speed is set to "Relative to Bike". It is zero meaning very frequently meaning that the abs wind speed, which was a tailwind equalled to bike speed.

Tailwind = bike speed ???
I improved the wind scale, and was able to ride to north getting +3 - +4 km/h, while to the south getting -3 - -4km/h. So I was happy that at least in case of my trekking bike (without a DFPM) I finished with the tough part of precise setup. Always tailwind disappeared but I got something different,...

Displayed wind is still unstable (aka incorrect)
I made a family riding with kids at extremely low speed. Bot with my road bike equipped both with a Powertap and iBike. :-) It was the right time to get more familiar with displayed wind speed. After two hours of riding it was evident that my Gen3 iAero always showed a tailwind (Abs Wind was set to ...

Re: odometer limits
Yes, 9999 is the limit. Let me ask whether there is no place for the 6th digit in the bottom section of iBike display (I mean Gen3) where Odo can be set? If no place, maybe it would be better to avoid the first digit after zero and to add a number before zero to arrive at 99999 as a limit. I suppos...

Re: Bad battery read when voltage >275 watts
Batteries tend to regain a slight amount of charge between uses, however, as soon as you begin using it, it drops below a critical level. I would recommend starting fresh with a New Battery, in both the iBike Unit, and the Wireless mount. If you want to conserve the most battery. Be sure that the &...

Re: Profile range guidelines - still good?
I got the following profile range guidelines from an earlier post. Are these still good for a Newton+? CdA TT: 0.2 to 0.33 Hoods: 0.28 to 0.45 Drops: 0.26 to 0.42 Crr: 0.002 to 0.008 The smaller the number, the better your tires and the smoother the pavement. Towards the high end, you're on chip se...

Re: Watt dissapear in Isaac
Having seen the new data I still have the same question. If min of Power is >0 that is there is no coasting, how min of Paero can be zero?? Theoratically there is one explanation, having the same speed of tailwind as the bike speed relative to the ground. But in the screenshot from Norbike the min w...

Re: Watt dissapear in Isaac
I try to hold constant 350 watt for 60 sec. (manage to stay between 330-365w). iBike Newton shows 342w avg. When I import the ride file to Isaac I get 313watt avg (?!?). I ride for a longer ride trying to hold 250w avg. iBike Newton shows 246w avg. Isaac 213watt (?!?) Hmmm..maybe this have somethin...

Rescaling scale y in Isaac
Is there any way to do it?
I have a ride with a max and min slope of +26% and -26%, respectively, but Isaac only offers automatically the range of -10% -- +20%. Thus I can't see some mart of the slope chart including those where the max slope and min slope occured.

Re: iAero questions
Thanks to you both. Actually normally my English is good enough to get the point, this time I missed "for the full bar". But for whom is this feature useful? If somebody cannot see the bigger 3-digit power number he will be not able to decode the small scale number. Is it just a fancy feat...

Re: iAero questions
I am afraid the horizontal bar is not in line with the displayed power. At least in my case. I use a DFPM, so maybe the length of the bar is specified by the instantaneous power calculated by iAero, which is not displayed. There seems to be a stronger correlation between the scale of 1-8 and the dis...

Re: Accurate slope range
Thank you guys for the feedback. I forgot to mention that I made a very very short test with 5 magnets on but with the original tire circumference of 2096 mm set. First it gave me false slopes due to the artificially inflated bike acceleration, and of course I could speed at more than 200 km/h. :-) ...

Maybe I deserve the RTFM reply (i have read all of them, maybe I just missed some part), but what does the horizontal bar on iAero mean? And the number of 1oo below the power data? It can go upto 8oo, but I could not figure out when exactly.
Thanks

Re: iAero questions
2) I checked some csv files of those rides where I had my Powertap paired with iAero. Definitely there is just one cadence in the csv files, not two. So the manual can be a bit more precise. I guess it should simply say that even if there is not a cadence sensor paired, both the crank based SRM and ...

Is the bottom line of this post, "Oops I was wrong"? The iBike is accurate at all grades, even if I can't ride up it. You're a good man for recognizing the problem with your logic. Yes, that is the bottom line. The good (?) man is back. Finally I figured out how to set the tire circumfere...
