Re: What happened to the last 1/3 of my ride?
This is unrelated (I think) but I noticed that the minimum elevation on today's ride registered 32m. I was at sea level, maybe 5m. My ride start is 95m which I determined from a land survey of my house. Why is the min. elevation incorrect. I don't think there would be that much barometric pressure d...

Re: What happened to the last 1/3 of my ride?
I've attached a ride from today, essentially the same ride, slightly different route to and from O&B points, a little shorter route. I've included yesterday's ride, the one in question. I realize I corrected for "ride ended where it began" which skewed the elevations. I corrected both ...

Re: What happened to the last 1/3 of my ride?
When I powered off, left arrow, it showed 80%. I find it curious it stopped recording at the end of the O&B. Just coincidence?

What happened to the last 1/3 of my ride?
On the ride, the Newton was displaying all aspects of the ride for the entire ride. However, when I downloaded the file, the last 40 minutes was missing. The Newton recognized an out-and-back portion of the ride and that is where the recording ended. This was not the end of the ride. I continued on ...

Re: power when coasting
Thanks John. That makes sense . I do get it.
I redid my cal ride and then did a casual ride. The Watts seemed more 'correct' and on the downhill, zero cadence = zero W and slow cadence downhill = zero W.
It is very clear to me that a careful, accurate cal ride is critical.

power when coasting
When I am coasting downhill, I get a power reading of zero, as one would expect. However, if I spin the pedals to keep my legs moving and the freehub is still frewheeling, ie no pedal input force, I get varying power readings up to 280W depending on how fast the cadence. Say 30 RPM I get 50W, 60 RPM...

Delivery time
Hi;
I ordered a Newton using the upgrade option. I'm wondering how long from order to shipping. Are the Universal mounts shipping with the Newtons?
Thanks

Paypal won't accept order
Hi John; I tried to purchase a Newton from the site using PayPal as the payment method and got to the last confirmation screen and got an "error has occurred, please contact the administrator". Is Paypal not an option for Canadian friends? How do I proceed? July 4 is quickly approaching an...

Price differences on web orders
I was filling the online order form for a Newton and saw the dual purpose mount was included in the price, $499. Then I realized I wasn't ordering with the trade-in. I went to the trade-in order and saw that the dual purpose mount is an additional $20.
Why is that?

Display suggestions
Hi John. I am assuming the User Interface of the Newton will be similar to the Pro and Aero. I have have a few suggestions on screen layout that I think will improve the user experience. One of the things I love and hate is the alternating HR / CAD. I love the alternating feature, but often I wish t...

Now that is being responsive to feedback! This new trade-up offer pretty well erases my concerns. Thanks.

Re: At long last, the iBike Newton!
After reading Stevel's question, I re-read the Newton description, and it does appear that an ANT+ receiver is built into the Newton. If that is the case, the GT firmware must be for send only. Is that correct? If so, will the new GT firmware still sell for $99? As you can tell, I am trying to figur...

Re: At long last, the iBike Newton!
If the GT firmware is unique to the Newton, is the Trainer firmware the same thing, or can I use Trainer firmware from the G3? If yes, I can use G3 Trainer, is there a method of de-authorizing the G3 and applying the key to the Newton? Also, I think it might have been mentioned earlier, could Veloco...
