Re: No power reading on edge 820
Good to know --- since I have the 830, I was just guessing about the BLE, but the PP reset is a very reasonable and easy fix if it works. The Garmin computer to PP connections seem to have a few minor bugs left in them (one or both) - some of this is in the Garmin for sure. When I upgraded to firmwa...

Re: ATTENTION ISAAC/MAC USERS!!!
Well - John - before upgrading to Catalina, everyone should have a full backup of the boot drive - in case things go wrong.
You do keep backups, right?

Re: No power reading on edge 820
When I first started using my Garmin 830, I searched for sensors and the Power sensor found was the bluetooth version - you need to look at the sensor details. PP V3 sends out Power using ANT. There can be two "sources" for this sensor. If you find that the one you have is the BLE, then di...

Re: No power reading on edge 820
Check to see if your power sensor is ANT or BLE. Only the ANT source gives you power.
You may need to disable the Power source and search again for a sensor - which needs to be the ANT sensor.

Alternate process could be creating a complete and bootable backup of your current system - which already has the drivers and Isaac. Just use Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper! Re: Isaac Mac and Catalina MacOS
Not sure about a conversion program, either. If you mean to convert the ride files, I suspect you have some data structure to that information that Isaac reads - and that is most likely some binary format specific to the Isaac/Velocomp environment, so I would not expect to find an off-the-shelf tran...

Re: What is the best sensor and how it relates to delays in measurement.
I am not sure small delays mean a whole lot in the big picture of what kind of power are you generating while on a bike ride. This is not a drag race like with cars and getting off the line is as important as the next quarter mile. What you sustain for power output and the magnitude of that power ou...

Re: What is the best sensor and how it relates to delays in measurement.
You will need to make the change using the Isaac application. You will change the modify the profile that has been installed on the PP. If you intend to make a change on the PP, you need to attach the PP through the USB cable to your computer. Run Isaac, goto the Edit Menu and select Edit Profiles.....

Re: Isaac Mac and Catalina MacOS
About the 32 bit to 64 bit conversion. Have you considered a small program to read the files from the 32 bit version and then write out 64 bit version that are stored separately? This would be a use once conversion and then no further need. There are a number of applications that have to occasionall...

Re: Checking calibration
Yep - I do that after every ride - analyze route. Almost all my recent rides have been in low wind conditions, so I really do not expect a wind scaling impact. But I have seen friction go from around 11 up to 30. I also recognize very much that excessive motion after the fact can influence any data ...

Checking calibration
After a few rides, I tend to hit the check calibration (not rides conform to an out/back, but can be 10-15 miles one way. For the most part wind calibration changes are typically in the noise. However I have seen 30% increases in the friction coefficient. On rare occasions I find that a rim brake mi...

Re: PP inför available to Garmin Edge
The Garmin is getting Power. The only place that can be coming from is the PP. Cadence as well as Speed sensors are both showing ANT. HRM is also ANT. So somehow the Garmin is not getting both ANT from a lot of sensors and BLE from the PP, so I need a way to get the rest of the ANT data from PP. OK ...

Does the PP only show up as BLE, for the network? That is what mine display in the details. And so battery status is invalid.

Done everything according to installation. Profile set to #4. Pairing all. Garmin does provide and recognize PowerPod (no battery status - yet.) Re: Firmware 7.09 for AeroPod/PowerPod with FW 7.x
John/Tom - I just imported FW 7.09 in my PowerPod - having found 7.03 on the previous FW. It seems that the sensor search may still be an issue. Even after several tries, the PP was not pairing the sensors and I was not getting any Power readings - through a Garmin 830. I would activate the cadence ...

Re: Will PowerHouse Bike Profile overwrite Isaac profile?
Powerhouse does not read the profiles stored in your device. So yes, Powerhouse will overwrite bike/rider data stored in your device with the settings you create in the "Rider/Bike Settings"; however, Powerhouse will not overwrite wind calibration data. I don't think I have seen a manual ...

Re: no data in IOS powerhouse app
So today I tired several ways to get PowerHouse to run. The PP and sensors were warmed up and paired - the Garmin was happy and reporting Power values from the PP. I started PowerHouse and could not get it to find sensors or the PP. I then shutdown PP (4 clicks), left Powerhouse running, sensors wer...

I am going to guess that there is a code error related to the list of programmed exercises - and the FREE ride is either mis-coded or not included in some list of options - or not in every separate subroutine/function that it should be. This might even be more true if the "paid for" choice...

Re: no data in IOS powerhouse app
Same for me - The Garmin recognizes that the PowerPad is there and running - I also get Power readings on the Garmin - so these are talking to each other. The iOS app PowerHouse - sees the PowerPad and recognizes the sensors are paired. During the ride - no values show in PowerHouse. I turned off Bl...

Re: Power readings drop to zero
If the cadence is not getting registered by the Newton, it thinks you are not pedaling - hence no power. Run the checks on the GSC-10 = punch the button and swing the magnet around on the crank past the sensor - no light == no sensing. (Review the Garmin trouble shooting.) You may have to do this in...

Re: Coast-Downs
Riding tilt - are you in the same position during a normal ride and when you are doing the coast down? Yes, tire pressure can change the tilt. If you are changing position, then the sensors may very well pick up the differences. The weight changes on the front wheel from sitting up and hunched over ...

Yep - I did see and know that you are in AZ - but did someone play with your computer and change the location - making the net logging think you were in a different TZ - which then was transferred to your Newton....
Either that or we can blame it on the snowbirds.
Cheers
