Re: view ride files from DFPM in Isaac
I am trying to do this without using an iBike along with the PT. Basically I want to analyze my PT file in Isaac. To view DFPM files in Isaac you need to have an iBike file from the same ride to go with it. Just curious: why do you want to use Isaac software to view your PT file? I had a wired iBik...

Re: view ride files from DFPM in Isaac
You need to download the PT data and save the file as a CSV. A buddy of mine has the same setup. Download the PT ride with WKO then export copy as "CSV". Save the file and "merge" the csv file with the ibike ride in Isaac. Works like a charm. I am trying to do this without using...

Re: view ride files from DFPM in Isaac
I have a wired unit.
I prefer Isaac and wanted to check it out with my Powertap.
I don't think I can use Isaac with dfpm unless I record the info on the iBike.

That's it. ThanksTriBike wrote:There is also a portion in SetUp to erase hrs. Go to Setup--rACr(yes)... scroll up a few times and you will see the hr meter, which you can set back if you'd like.

reset total hours on computer
I have a used iBike and want to reset the hours to 0.
hard reset doesn't do that.
Isaac does not seem to have a feature for that.
Any help?
Thanks

Isaac does not show older file kcal correctly
I just noticed that after loading Isaac and using an upgraded iSport Gen III the kcal section is incorrect.
It seems that the burn rate and totals are mixed up.
One ride I did showed a burn rate of 3356kcal and a total of 550.
No big deal, just thought I'd mention what I've seen.

Re: Software screen info question
It's not THAT sensitive. You may just be holding the button longer than you realize. Also note that if you continue to hold the button after Lap starts blinking you will enter another mode where you can review all your previous laps with the up or down arrow. You exit the review mode by pressing th...

Re: Software screen info question
I had a bunch of those in my ride yesterday. I looked at the NP and TSS but I didn't hold the button. Is it that sensitive? I rode today and actually held the button until it read, lap1 done or lap 2 done. I did numerous laps to get a feel for what this function does. I agree with the above post. I...

Re: Software screen info question
It looks like you used the Lap function (press-hold the left arrow). The sections that appear correspond to the places where you press-held the left arrow. OK, I didn't realize that. I thought I knew most every function. The lap function will be great for me. I was actually checking NP and TSS alon...

It looks like the odometer only goes to 9999.
Is this true?
If so...you've got to be kidding. I don't want to have to write down or remember that I've turned it over, once or twice.

Re: connect iBike to computer and all ride info is erased
Did you get an answer to your question? After a period of a few hours, the ride file is automatically reset in the unit. This is to prevent people from accidentally continuing rides that were completed previously. As you found, the way to see your ride stats, including TSS, IF, and NP, is to downlo...

Re: Check Calibration...how often
Use the new Check Calibration feature in the iBike software. If you're seeing minor changes, then spend your time riding, not doing Cal Rides! I'm sorry, I was not clear. I am using the Check Calibration feature under the tools menu. The result is only a slight change, and therefore I won't mess wi...

Check Calibration...how often
I do many rides that are out and back.
I've checked the calibration from the tools menu and there is never more than a slight change offered.
Should I ever update my profile?
If so how often? or better yet, what should I look for?

connect iBike to computer and all ride info is erased
After finishing the last 2 rides I connected the iBike to the computer and noticed that all ride info was erased on the iBike screen. Re: Best way to track intervals
That opens up some options.
I am wired with the iBike right now. TrainerRoad will work with an ANT sensor and ANT Stick. $60 total or so.
Thanks for the link. TrainerRoad is a great idea.

Re: Best way to track intervals
That's an idea. Kinetic has a power curve for my trainer that coorelates to speed.
I printed out the chart and might consider using an extra computer that I already have and just watch average speed / power.

Re: Best way to track intervals
Perfect. Thanks for the reply.
That is what I hoped I could do.
I assume I will be able to see TSS, NP, and other info for the whole ride.
I'm still outside here in NC, but it won't be long and I'll be on the trainer.
I've considered buying a trainer key. Any thoughts?

Best way to track intervals
I track my TSS for each ride and set a weekly goal that is derived from breaking down a 5 month period into weekly periods. I do intervals like 2 or 3 x 20's and some shorter durations as well. There is also time warming up and riding home that add to TSS that I also track. I have sent intervals fro...

Re: Profile / hoods elbows bent equals ??
Note, that even the profile you have now is pretty darn good, but you've provided good info that makes tweaking fairly easy. I see you have your FTP set so that's a good thing, so load the new profile into the iBike and ride. I'm gonna load it now and ride today. Thanks for your insight and help.

Profile / hoods elbows bent equals ??
I sent a profile from the software to the iBike. Within the profile I checked the box for riding on the hoods with my elbows bent. I looked through the iBike after doing this and it seemed to change the profile to Hoods, no / Drops, no / TT, no. What does "hoods elbows bent" coorespond wit...

New mounting but no cal ride
My bottom mount fell apart and I had to remount the ibike. If I have previously marked the garage floor with a direction as well as the tilt as shown on the computer after a good calibration, can I just mount the ibike and get it to show exactly the same tilt and then roll. Or do I need to do anothe...

Re: isport to pro upgrade can of worms?
I agree with not fighting the numbers.
I wasn't real confident with the numbers I was getting. Somewhat consistent but still odd at times.
I thought with the upgrade it would be a good opportunity to get it dialed and roll.
What is the best way to post or e-mail ride files?

Re: isport to pro upgrade can of worms?
The profile I had with the iSport used .0055 under the fric. screen. I did a cal ride and coast downs after I upgraded because I wanted to get more accuracy. The bottom clamp on my mount basically disintegrated so I had to re-mount the unit with the botom mount I got from you. I wanted to use the mo...

isport to pro upgrade can of worms?
The crr from the ibike changed from .0055 to .0085 in the process of the upgrade I guess. I did not change it myself. Then I did 11 coast downs after a calibration ride. Did all the necessary procedures correctly. Now I find the calibration ride has values very different from the coast downs and the...
