Re: Display Feature - Gear Ratio

As the needs are different for different use cases, it would be good to have some programmability of the display. For example the center button could be use to access one "user defined screen" in a sequence Bike / Power / User. This user screen would display parameters selected in Izaac an...

Re: Display Feature - Gear Ratio

I agree with you: having a display of the "power zone", in the Bike computer mode and in the Power mode, is the best usage of this field. ( I must admit I don't understand what the Newton displays today with this field in the Power mode: 8_00 = ? ...) The gear ratio is a nice to have, henc...

Re: Display Feature - Gear Ratio

An other suggestion is to display the value in the top field: the "Hill-Wind" button would display a Hill-Wind-Gear sequence.

Re: Display Feature - Gear Ratio

In the "Power" mode on the right you have this 8_00 indication, showing an existing field in the LCD display.
Can't this field be used by the SW in the "Bike Computer" mode ?

Display Feature - Gear Ratio

Dear All,

I think a real time display of the gear ratio (as defined in ISAAC) would be a great feature.
There is a natural location for this field on the "Bike Computer Screen" (see attached file).
Would it be possible to add this to the next release?

Re: Profile range guidelines - still good?

Could you provide a definition of these parameters (or a pointer) ?
I would also be interested in an description of the calibration ride physical principles (and corresponding equations).
WIthout understanding what's going on, the calibration process is always stressfull.

Re: ISAAC New Features

Thanks for the tips to improve the contact, I'll try.
I know HR is a secondary parameter (especially in such descents), but I like clean logs and metrics ;)

ISAAC New Features

I've sometime issues with my cardio belt giving wrong values for a few minutes (imperfect contact). It would be nice to have a "Repair Ride for wrong cardio" feature. See attached file : in a long descent, the cardio became random (in the 180 to 220 range) although it's clear I was in a re...

ISAAC

Hello,

While waiting for the Newton, could Velocomp publish some screenshots of the ISAAC software, as a teaser for the new product ?
(I don't think it has been done)

Re: Proposed App Feature : Active Background Mode

Just to get an idea of the potential, I did the following test: - iPhone 3GS fully charged - Flight mode: no 2G/3G, no WiFi, no GPS - fresh environment: all other apps closed - Screen's brightness set to the minimum - app running alone for as long as possible Result: after 10 hours, 18% of battery l...

Proposed App Feature : Active Background Mode

I'm still frustrated by the Battery Life issue, typically for this use case: - Etape du Tour, 197 km, 4 passes, 5000+ m of climbing, 10+ hours, a call at the end to inform my wife ;) - Ibike used for power based pacing + performances logging I think that with the multi-tasking of iOS, there is a hop...

Re: The iBike Dash CC fails to take advantage of iPhone OS

I'm an IBike Dash+Power user and I also think the iBike apps realeased don't exploit the potential of the platform (iPhone + iBooth). There are probably some ways of opening the game in a win/win mode through an adequate SDK. With an SDK allowing third party apps to exploit your HW properly, I'm con...

Export Stats to Excel

I would be interested in exporting the ride advanced stats to Excel I think Excel is still a good option for planning and analysing the workouts. I tried a copy/paste but the current formatting doesn't help in exploiting the data without writing code. Could you add in the next release of iBike an Ex...

Re: Battery Management

I understand that Apple doesn't allow this kind of features (it's a shame) : http://www.iphonedevsdk.com/forum/iphone-sdk-development/6400-adjusting-screen-brightness.html I don't know if there is a possibility for velocomp to ask for a waiver to apple: use the feature and nevertheless be distribute...

Battery Management

Some time ago John announced a battery management feature in the app. What is the status on that ? Is there a chance to have a reasonable 10+ hours autonomy one day ? I have a suggestion for the next release of the app: Since the main consumption is coming from the screen, one could consider to just...

Re: iBike app update is coming

In the Trainer Info/Custom, A,B,... parameters seems to be "english" even if the app is configured for metrics.
It not a big issue to scale the parameters accordingly, but it's not consistent.

Dear All, Thanks a lot for the new app, the indoor training feature is highly appreciated. As I like the iBike Dash very much I'm also very interested in the app evolution. I've attached my wish list for Christmas 2011 with some description of the features. Most of these features are very small &quo...

Re: golden cheetah v WKO

Anticipating my future "power training" with the iBike Dash, I've tried WKO and Golden Cheetah. My first motivation for Golden Cheetah was the Mac compatibility (I don't like my business PC too much). I tested both based on my Edge 705 and a power calculator complementing GPS data. I like ...

Re: Some key features of the iBike Dash

Hello, I'm considering the purchase of an iBike Dash which looks like an ideal training tool for me. However, I'm quite afraid of the battery life. For most ridings, 4 hours would be OK, but for some it would be a big penalty. I intend to participate to the cyclo version of the "Etape du Tour&q...
