Re: Enhanced map feature coming soon to Isaac
As a suggestion for next upgrade, perhaps if we can zoom in and out of the map (enlarge to see more details), that will be even better.
Thanks again.

Re: Enhanced map feature coming soon to Isaac
This is fantastic! Thanks very much. Ability to resize the panes is great. Also ability to highlight sections of the ride on the map and view the stats is extremely useful.

Re: New Isaac 2.6.2 software
Yes, I do realise that you can manually highlight climbing sections to view the stats. This is useful for hill repeats. Actually, what I am looking for is the total average for the entire ride. Since, the software already works out total climbing in meters for the whole ride, surely, it is easy to a...

Re: New Isaac 2.6.2 software
Great upgrade! Another feature request/upgrade please is for Isaac to display Average climbing speed Average climbing cadence Average climbing power (and climbing NP) Is this achievable seeing that Isaac already reports "climbing" in meters/feet? This would be great to track over time when...

Will the GPS feature be available if instead of Newton tracker, a GPS track from say a Garmin unit is "merged" into the iBike file?

Cool!
When is this available? I did try "Check Online for Software Update" but it appears that 2.6.1 is the latest available.
Thanks

Re: Speed and Distance way off from Garmin
I know what the problem is. You mentioned setting the wheel size in Isaac but did you actually set the wheel size in the Newton itself or "send profile to Newton"? I suspect not as your ride file posted above has your wheel size set as 2088mm instead of 2096mm. Change that and it should ma...

Comments on Bicycling Australia review
Page 99 of Bicycling Australia magazine reviews power meters including iBike Newton. It was an overall positive review. Some key comments by the author Michael Hanslip:- "...I understand how the iBike Newton funcitons, but in the middle of a ride it really is like magic. All other power meters ...

Re: After a bit of info on the options of a Newton
Yes, I was wondering myself. When Newton first launched, there was a Newton and a Newton+ (Powerstroke wasn't developed yet!).
The difference was larger memory size for saving ride files.
Is that still the case now, or are all Newtons on sale the same memory size?

Re: iBike Dash+Power end of Life
Yeah, I had the same issue too. High speeds on rough chip seal roads usually causes the latch to flip open and the lid drops down - luckily my ipod touch isn't as heavy as an iphone and most of the time stays inserted in the phone booth due to the tight seal. I had to quickly scramble to shut the li...

I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app a few times in the past as my unit was showing weird results. Turned out that the unit was found to be defective after I sent in back to Velocomp. Anyway, no big deal reinstalling the app, the thing to remember to do before uninstalling the App is to:- 1...

Re: Stem Mount for Bike ala SRM (Delray twilight facebook pic)
Thanks. That has given me something to think about. I use the Garmin for maps for discovering new places to ride. I don't have an iphone - just using an ipod touch 4G. Moreover, with the iphone riding in the countryside, it will start to chew up the 3G data which is rather costly in our country (NZ)...

Thanks for that. I did wonder whether it was a DIY job. I was going to get the SRAM mount and place the Garmin on that to the l...

That can happen if at the end of the ride, you abruptly exited the App by pressing the Home button or if you pulled your iDevice out of the booth while the app is still running. The correct way to log the ride properly is to hit "End Current Ride" before doing any of the above actions. I u...

7. Not sure, there is a zero wind function and a tilt calibration function, wich is very easy to perform. This is a good point. Yes, you set the file folder or location of saved ibike files under the iBike computer software. Are you intending to make the ISAAC software available to all iBike users or is this only for Newton?
I'm thinking that this is probably an evolution from the "Boyd in a Box" or Tools-Check Calibration option in Ver 6.1.2
Thanks

A little piece of electrical tape between the top battery cover of the wireless head and the iBike that sits on it might just give you enough pressure to maintain contact.
