Climbing numbers?

I rode a century ride last weekend. Was using the iBike as well as a Garmin. I expected a difference in the climbing numbers, but this is dramatic. Garmin says 6297, while the iBike says 11,481. I think the actual elevation was closer to 7k per the event flyer. The weather was pretty consistent, but...

Random NO readin of watts....

So I've had several occasions where I'm riding and getting a big fat "0" for the watts. I originally noticed it in a road race where it seemed just fine for the first 15 minutes of the race and then nothing for the remaining 2 hours. I first thought maybe i accidentally kicked the sensor, ...

Using iBike on a Mountain or Cross bike

What's everyone's thoughts and/or opinions on this. It seems as thought this is an instrument with a lot of data gathering sensors.... would mountain biking or cross bike/racing be too rough and possibly damage the unit? Any issue with too much dust and/or possibly mud getting into the wind port? Al...

Pro Rider NOT using the RWS in TT

Was just looking at the picture of the Pro rider in the Giro using the iBike on his TT bike and appears not to be using the RWS. Wondering if anyone knows why? Is the RWS necessary? I would think at that level they would have/want it as dialed in as possible. Thoughts? http://ibikeblog.com/?attachme...

Re: TT Profile #'s. Do they look correct?

I just stumbled onto this article. Good read, but by looking at the numbers they had with a full TT setup, I certainly think my CdA looks too low. Should I edit my profile to a higher CdA, and if so, what would anyone recommend I use? My last TT race I ran with the "Fast Start" numbers an...

Re: TT Profile #'s. Do they look correct?

Thanks for the replies. I think I'm pretty darn aero, but I'm not running a disc in the rear or deep dish in the front. Just running the 40mm aero wheels you see in the picture. I'm racing a TT tonight, so I'm going to run this profile and see what the numbers look like when I'm done. Here are a few...

TT Profile #'s. Do they look correct?

I'm a newbie with this thing and i want it to be a useful tool. I did 10 coast downs today followed by a cal ride of about 5 miles. i did this to establish a "Race" profile for time trialing, so I had on my skin suit and aero helmet. Was carrying no tool, etc... Here are the numbers I got ...
