Re: A whole lot of newbie questions

"How do I deal with auto wind when doing triathlons?" I asked the same question last year. This is Velocomps reply (my original post is in the triathlon section of the forum): "3) Regarding Wind Cal: on race day, take your bike to the transition area, let it stabilize, then do a Cal W...

Do you have a picture of your setup and with you on the bike? .

Re: Interval Training 2x20, User Mode

@ lo-daddy A couple of questions and comments: 1) Was this an out/back? 2) Were you on a TT bike? 3) Have you considered switching to profile 2 and trying the EST Aero function? 4) I don't see how you could possibly have a almost a mile difference. Even if your wheel size is substantially larger it...

Re: Interval Training 2x20, User Mode

Fernando the bike calculator website is very cool. It also confirms that my power numbers have always seemed way too low to me. It's always amazed me when people talk about FTP of 250W and greater. I've done calibration rides, coast downs, worked with Coach Boyd, and have gotten help from technical ...

I had no idea I was supposed to be setting the elevation prior to every ride.

Re: iBike Triathletes link up

Good luck @ White Lake this coming wknd. I was going to do that race until they created the new half race in Charleston on the same day. I've heard nothing but great things about White Lake.

Re: Racing in a tri w/ an Ibike

Thanks for the tips. HIM coming up this Saturday. I've actually been worried about forgetting to turn the ibike on in T1. I think seeing the shirt lying over the bars will serve a dual purpose: help keep temps stable and remind me to turn the unit on. I'll let you guys know how things go after next ...

Re: Racing in a tri w/ an Ibike

Thanks for the info. My unit is a gen 3. I've just read so much info about how important the tilt calb was so I figured I should do it before each ride. Good to know I can skip that step now. Thanks again.

Racing in a tri w/ an Ibike

Does anyone on this forum have any experience actually racing a triathlon w/ an ibike? Before every ride I do a wind calibration and then I do a tilt calibration in an effort to make sure the power numbers I'm seeing on the training ride are reliable. In an actual race I'm not going to have time to ...

Re: Calibration questions

I totally agree w/ R MC. Program the intervals and send it to the ibike. Then do what the ibike says. Kind of like having the coach tell you what to do while your on the bike. Once you download your ride to your PC, you will be able to see power/speed/HR breakdowns for each interval.
