Re: PowerPod Storage
I can offer my own experience with these devices - but I am sure John might have his own experience. The new Velocomp Aero software - when connected to your PP will report your batteries level of charge. If it gets below 30% for example, I would charge it back to 90%. I also refrain from fully charg...

That was what I was hoping for!!
If you have any control on the IQ AeroPad 2.0 app (I am sure that this is coming from the App), perhaps removing what is being sent to the Garmin would be helpful.

Time Advantage?
In Garmin Express/Connect one of the Charts is called Time Advantage. I think the data is part of the AeroPod 2.0 IQ app. This does not make any sense to me as the max range on the plot is 5 - MILLION. So something is not getting incorporated. Included is the extract from Garmin Connect for that par...

Re: [Feature Request] Ctrl-click to Select Mulitple Laps
I like the approach - it is beginning to look like a designed experiment -(DOE)- used in many industries - The basis is to eliminate confounding factors and to understand correlated or dependent factors. The experiments can contain several factors being varied at the same time - which can lead to a ...

Once again John and his crew meet the calls from the fans!! I also like the new scaling on the PowerStroke graph. Wondering on the time advantage - looking at the ride file in Garmin Connect it does not make a whole lot of sense. I'd upload an example of each, but I forgot while image format the BB ...

Re: Scaling the plot.
Thanks John - not a rush item.
But these results almost make me think that there is something goofy in the PP accelerometers - except I am still getting good correlation with the DFPM and PP values - overall. (Or I am really dialing in my ride mechanics.

Scaling the plot.
Suggestion - VA application. I would like to see the PowerStroke plot of the boxes for L/R and F/B motion change scale when wasted motion values start getting small - as in the case for me on the attached plot. Would not even require something like auto scaling - for example change the scale when th...

I just checked and am not seeing the issue. My mouse movement is usually fast and I do see the scroll bar highlighted intermittently - but that is due to the mouse position and not the scroll bar interface.

John -
I did not find this while searching the features on the new Aero software -
How do I identify which features are unlocked on my PP? GPS, CDA, PowerStroke, etc.?

Re: Velocomp Aero is replacing Isaac
Hi John -
The one component I do not see yet (in VA 1.0) is the analyze menu in Isaac still remains to be completed.
Did I miss that? I am assuming that these features will be in the next release - otherwise keeping Isaac around a little longer would be advisable.

Re: PP Loses all profiles after not charging for 3 months
Previous rides? Even from 3 months ago. there could be another source to recover PP profiles. Old ride files might also have the profile, if nothing else changed on the bike/rider. Or am I mistaken? The first choice would be the PP NVRAM, then a fall back would be old ride files. NVRAM will not nece...

Re: Figure of Merit for Calibration
Fair enough. I would also guess that the overall model - fitting over a range of wind, slope, acceleration, etc. is not a simple linear or quadratic case - this is a multidimensional situation - but I wonder if the wind calibration, alone is a tad more straightforward. Just a math geek's curiosity. ...

Figure of Merit for Calibration
John - In statistics, usually when some data is fit to a model, there is an associated figure of merit. For example a least squares fit of data to a straight line, one can find the coefficients that best describe the line fitting that data, but also a figure of merit - usually R^2. So the method der...

Re: Cadence Data dropping.
It is likely that the cadence battery is getting low. Replace it. A new battery will measure around 3.3V and when the voltage gets below 3.0, the PP sometimes starts losing the signal.
The Garmin may still show all is well, but the PP will show dropouts or not even find the sensor at all.

Same for my Edge 830. In case you do not know: from the Garmin manuals. Viewing Widgets From the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen. The settings widget appears. A flashing icon means the device is searching for a signal. A solid icon means the signal was found or the sensor is conne...

Re: PP suddenly totally wonky
On occasion I have had trouble with my Garmin Cadence sensor. My Garmin Edge bike computer still sees the Cadence sensor. I have taken the battery out and measured a voltage of around 2.9V or a little less than that. A fresh Li battery usually measures around 3.3V. Replacing those batteries does the...

Have you set you PP with calibration "Best" or "Better"?
I believe "Better" just lets you ride and there is no indicator count up/down.
