Re: Editing Profiles for Dummies
I'm the original poster from 15 months ago. The reason I want (NEED) the usage guide is because there is far too much mystery involved with how the iBike works. You run the calibrations, send the profile to Boyd or Fernando, and they either bless it or send back a tweaked file saying "load this...

Re: Editing Profiles for Dummies
We're approaching the one year anniversary of this request. I'd gladly take a look at any draft document that's in the works.

Re: Editing Profiles for Dummies
I have a request for the Advanced Guide: it would be invaluable to get a step-by-step breakdown (a Case Study) of what Coach Boyd does in cases like this. So you could start with a ride file and a snapshot of all the settings. Then walk us through the different sections of the iBike software and the...

Editing Profiles for Dummies
I've been using the iPro for a few months now, and have traded many files with Coach Boyd. That's worked well for me, but I would love to be more educated about how I can reasonably tweak my own profile. I've tried searching through the manuals and the forum, but it looks like this information hasn'...

Would you mind commenting on my road bike profile?

Re: setting rider weight
Most other power meters calculate W/kg using only the rider weight, not including the bike, clothes, water, etc... Does this mean that the iBike-calculated W/kg is always going to be lower than what's calculated by other devices? Or is the total weight important for the real-time processing of data,...

Re: Correlating Watts with HR Training Zones
Thanks Fernando. I'm not so much intent on drawing a direct correlation between HR and Watts as I am in having some Watt Ranges in mind as I'm riding, so I can have a feel for how hard I am working. I'm planning on doing my first iPro Fitness Test on Tuesday morning, so I'll know whether I'm rated b...

Correlating Watts with HR Training Zones
I just got my iPro! I recently took a Conconi Test where I rode the Computrainer, with 25W more resistance each minute, until I collapsed. The results of the test produced the following training zones: Long Endurance: Heart Rate 143 - 162 Medium Endurance: 169 - 181 Anaerobic Threshold on the Flats:...
