Re: Wireless ID in profiles
Everything is OK. Some years ago Garmin went to a 6 digit identifier for a wireless ID. You PP correctly reads that ID. However, Isaac is programmed to read/write 5 digit identifiers. So, it does not correctly report on-screen what is stored in PP, and it can't write 6 digit identifiers, either. How...

Re: PowerPod V3 odd readings
Hi John, the last year my Power Pod worked fine, but since a few weeks the readings became odd again. I've attached a ibr ride-file from a tour I've done yesterday. The wind conditions where: light winds from south west round about 2 bft - not tailwinds the whole day as shown in the ride-file ;-) A...

Re: How to install Isaac on an M1/M2 Mac
I followed the instructions above but can't get the UTM app with Windows 7 to "recognize" the USB with Isaac on it. I formatted it with FAT32. Any ideas? The USB seems to work fine outside of the UTM app. M2 Mac with Ventura 13.2.1. I wish I had better advice, but the problem appears to b...

Re: PowerPod lag
It looks like you have a good setup.
The variations are quite small so it is not a huge problem overall. Check to be certain there is no play in your fork tube; PP can detect slope deviations as small as 0.5%

Re: PowerPod lag
Hi John, Can you see what's going on with this last ride? Every other Z2 ride seemed fine but today I went for a more fast paced one and I don't believe that I am in this kind of shape right now. For sure PP spiked at the very beginning of the ride but after a couple minutes if seemed to settle dow...

Re: Calibrating PowerPod with a DFPM
Here is what to do: 1) Pair your DFPM to your PowerPod. 2) Do an out-and-back ride, about 3-5 miles long, making sure you are not in changing wind conditions (such as auto traffic or wind gusts) 3) Download your ride to Isaac 4) Select the "Analyze/Check Calibration..." menu item in Isaac....

Re: New AeroPod 2.0 CdA app for ConnectIQ Garmin computers
I'm not sure if that is a bug or a feature...riding after dark is not something most cyclists do :-) If you as I live at 55 latitude then the sun sets between 4 - 5 pm every day so riding in the dark is something required if you want to ride outside ;-) Here is a shot from my Garmin this evening; I...

Re: Intel Mac Users: how to install Isaac 5.1 macOS Catalina, Monterey, Big Sur, and earlier
Hi John, I tried as you suggested. erased the files followed by a short ride. Unfortunately even though the powerpod connects to the Isaac software, it won't download the file automatically but eventually does when I perform a manual download. The file appears as shown below even though the powerpo...

Re: Intel Mac Users: how to install Isaac 5.1 macOS Catalina, Monterey, Big Sur, and earlier
Hi John, I recently installed Isaac 5.1 on my Mac after upgrading to ImacOS Monterrey. I followed the installation posted by user “dropsite” to the “letter” and the installation of the drivers and of Isaac 5.1 went smoothly as detailed in the instructions. I previously was running Isaac 5.1 on Imac...

This video does not have great production values, but it gets the job done of showing how to use the AeroPod 2.0 app, with your AeroPod set to PROFILE 4.

Re: new Trek Speed Concept Blendr Duo Base and Computer Mount and Device Mount Location
I think this mount will be fine; where your PP/AP attaches is very close to where the mount connects to your handlebars.
You can select "stem" for the location; when you do your calibration ride everything will be corrected as needed.

Re: New AeroPod 2.0 CdA app for ConnectIQ Garmin computers
Hi John, The instruction says that the app must be displayed in a 1 field screen but I wonder if it would be possible to have it displayed in a 3 field screen - app takes half and then 2 fields below it? The reason is that I heavily rely on heart beat and cadence metrics should I would really like ...

New AeroPod 2.0 CdA app for ConnectIQ Garmin computers
We have spent a lot of effort to create a completely new AeroPod 2.0 app for CdA measurement, and at long last we are ready to provide it to you! The basic idea of the AeroPod 2.0 app is to make it possible to use your AeroPod to do precision PROFILE 4 CdA testing and to see, in the field, your CdA ...

I've bought PP download key but have no download link to retrieve it, or any email pointing to the file. Re: PowerPod lag
Your ride file from today is the one at the bottom of the ride file list; that is the one you should download. Its date is incorrect because the internal clock of your PP was not set. Now that you've connected your PP to Isaac the internal clock will be reset to the correct date/time. Your PP data s...

Re: PowerPod lag
I don’t see any message requiring the key, but my PowerPod don’t connect to Isaac also. I think my PP is a V1. Is the key necessary? If your PP was manufactured prior to 2019 then you will need to get the key. Before proceeding you will need to connect to Isaac. Please contact technicalsupport@velo...

Re: PowerPod lag
Most likely either your bike computer, or your PowerPod, or both, are set to filter the power output. If your PP is sufficiently old then you will get a "Isaac Download unlock key" message. We spent a fortune a few years ago to upgrade Isaac after Apple went to a 64 bit requirement. If you...

Re: PPV4 Power OK when climbing but low on flat and descents.
HR is a relatively insensitive indicator of cycling power effort, and it also is a variable indicator. As a training session progresses in time, HR goes up even though power output remains the same. I'm not comfortable using HR readings from your indoor and outdoor workouts as indicators of comparat...
