Re: Newbie V3 with garmin edge 1030 advice please
Hi all Thanks for the add, so I have managed to pick up a brand new old stock v3 PowerPod which I am keen to get up and running when I receive it. In the meantime I have done some research on YouTube and noted that the advice is to pair sensors such as heart rate and speed/cadence etc then turn on ...

Re: New AeroPod 2.0 CdA app for ConnectIQ Garmin computers
Sorry, I should have been more clear around what I meant by status, which includes the connected sensors, but also all of the other potential status options noted in the manual. aeropodstatus.png Right now I carry a printout of the PDF with me, and use it like a decoder ring to try to suss out what...

Re: New AeroPod 2.0 CdA app for ConnectIQ Garmin computers
Would it be possible to have the new app provide status information for the connected sensors? I find that LED can be hard to see in some situations. Any chance you've been able to have a look at this? It would greatly improve the usability of the device if the status was available somewhere easy t...

Re: Working with Velocomp Aero - some fundamental questions
Dear Velocomp team, RESPONSES BELOW IN CAPS I have just reactivated my AeroPod to do aero tests for time trialing, but lack some understanding as to how the new Aero Windows app deals with the data. I will try to summarize how I understand the data processing at the moment - maybe there is already ...

Re: Working with Velocomp Aero - some fundamental questions
I merged your FIT file into your AP file. Lots of comments: 1) Your test route has a sharp "elbow" in it. This is not good for testing: Screenshot 2024-07.png A test route should either a straight out-and back (such as the horizontal portion only of your test route): Screenshot 2024-07-13 ...

Do you have a .FIT file from your Garmin from this ride? If so please post it; it will help me understand the test route you are riding.

Re: Can't find “silabser.inf”
I got into the same trouble when I tried to install the drivers on my Win machine. I did not see the "install" option. Here is what to do: 1) Delete the SiLabs driver file you downloaded 2) Download the driver file again from this link: http://www.velocompforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=106&...

Re: Velocomp Aero software for Mac
Apparently 4 times is a charm. So it is now connected to VA. Weirdly 49% of memory is used but none of my rides for the past 2 years is on the device.. Either way. I guess I will have to do a cal ride now according to the on-screen instructions. Is that correct? You can't run Isaac and VA at the sa...

Re: NEW: Comprehensive Instructions for AeroPod 2
I've just tried it on my windows 11 machine and it restarted and all looked fine, but subsequently restarting it, allows it to start up, but instead of getting a window I just get a taskbar icon, clicking on that you get the mini preview window but no way to restore the window to see it's contents....

Re: NEW: Comprehensive Instructions for AeroPod 2
Hi I have manged to get VA working on my machine with version 0.0.31 however it immediately downloads and installs version 0.0.32 which appears to have a fault, so when I start it up I get a spinning wait cursor for a few seconds, it returns to normal and VA 0.0.32 fails to start. I have had a look...

Yes, FW10 is available through VA software only. You can still use Isaac with FW10 if you wish, however.

Velocomp Aero Updates
We have been doing pretty regular updates of Velocomp Aero (VA) software. If you've installed VA then you should see update information appear automatically when you have the app opened, or when you launch the app. You can find details of updates in the "Show Change Log" link available fro...

Re: PowerPod showing extremely high wattage numbers midway through rides.
Thank you for your reply. Agreed, we need to indeed be a bit more balanced. Thank you also for verifying the attached ride file and making an adjustment. Will load your modified file into my unit. Just one (perhaps naive) question - how exactly do I "load" that .ibp file into my PP? Is th...

Re: PowerPod V3 - FW10
Hello Today I upgraded my PowerPod to version 10 of the software. I then did a calibration ride, followed by a short ride. Here is my ride file. I am riding a FatBike. Velocomp_2024_06_05_1500_6_km.ibr The values all seem good - the wind is from both directions. But on the PowerStoke screen, there ...

Re: PowerPod showing extremely high wattage numbers midway through rides.
@Velocomp/John Hamann 1) VA is a new app. I understand (a bit) your frustration with the different interface; I spent about 30 minutes trying to find standard items in Windows 11 the first time I used it. If you had problems installing VA/Win I'd like to know more, so that we can improve. 2) I did ...

Re: PowerPod showing extremely high wattage numbers midway through rides.
I dowloaded the new Velocomp Aero app. Installed version 10 or the firmware onto my PP - there happened to be two dialogs showing that the firmware could be installed - so I ran both -I think they both were doing the same thing. The interface has been cleaned up a bit and a few more little details ...

Re: PowerPod showing extremely high wattage numbers midway through rides.
Hi, Downloaded the new Velocomp Aero software/app as well as the updated firmware as suggested. Will see how my device responds on my next ride outside. Re: PowerPod showing extremely high wattage numbers midway through rides.
I looked at your ride files. Yes, there is a crazy problem in your 6/2 ride, but nothing in the raw data shows any problem with your sensor readings. There is some mysterious bug in your firmware... My suggestion is to download new FW 10, available when you use the new Velocomp Aero app. This FW wil...

Re: Differences in 2 calibration rides
Yesterday I did two calibration rides. The one at 11.05 was an out and back ride riding a long curve. The second ride at 11.13 was a straight line out and back ride. When using the check calibration function on the first ride it suggests the power is too the high. Whereas when analyzing the second ...

Velocomp Aero software for Mac/PC
Velocomp Aero (VA) software for Mac/Windows is completely new. VA has a look and feel similar to Isaac, (so it's easy to learn) but it is much faster to operate, easier to use, and provides much better analytical capabilities for CdA. Here is a link where you can download VA for Mac: http://www.velo...
