Re: PowerPod and ShockStop Stem by Redshift
Four comments: 1) The speed spikes are not a result of gear changes. Why? In each spike bike speed is reduced by 1 mph in one second, then goes back to "normal" in the next one second. These would be HUGE accelerations, not possible. What kind of speed sensor are you using? Where is it mou...

Re: PowerPod and ShockStop Stem by Redshift
Lots of comments: 1) I looked at the slope correction data for your rides. This data shows the effect of mount rigidity. There is some difference between fork and bar mount rigidity. The fork is more rigid, but at only one point in the bar ride (around 50km) is there a significant shift in calibrati...

Re: PowerPod and ShockStop Stem by Redshift
It's a cheap wireless magnetless speed sensor (accelerometer type) made by CycPlus (China). I have it mounted on the rear hub because I've got a generator hub on the front and the sensor band is too short to go around the hub. I think I might have had interference from the hub as well so I moved it...

Re: Newton +6 pairing Garmin Varia
Garmin Varia is a rearview radar and tail light and its purpose is to warn by a radar if a car is approaching from behind so I need to know if this message can be sent to my Newton. Newton should receive from Varia a written warning on the screen or an acoustic advice when a car is near me. Please ...

Re: Newton +6 pairing Garmin Varia
Good news: you have the CdA key installed, so as long as you do not have a DFPM paired to your Newton, your Newton will transmit its power information to your Varia.
Make sure your Newton is awake and paired to your ANT+ sensors, then pair your Newton to your Varia.

The serial number in your screen shot is difficult to read. Please type it in this thread.
Also, go to "Device/Unlock Feature/Get Unlock Status" and take a screen shot of the features enabled in your unit.

Re: Newton +6 pairing Garmin Varia
I'd like to know if there is compatibility between Newton +6 and Garmin Varia, and if the answer is yes how can I pair the two devices? Re: Batch conversion ibr to csv or fit
:D What's in the "CSV export copies" sub-folder of the folder to which your .ibr files are downloaded ? A complete csv file with all your ride file data. Use the export csv function to create the file, then open it in Excel to see what it includes :-) That was my point for the OP - my sub-...

Re: PowerPod and ShockStop Stem by Redshift
Here's a recent ride file with the PP V1 mounted on the fork. I looked at your ride file. The only bothersome thing I see are periodic speed sensor dropouts, which will cause power dropouts. What kind of speed sensor are you using, and where is it mounted? I don't see any evidence that your shock s...

Re: PPv3 reset?
Your 12/18 ride file looks OK, but the new calibration is a bit low. In fact, I applied your prior calibration factor and got great results.
Corrected ride file is attached, along with your prior profile, which I suggest you load into your unit.

Re: Import Smart Trainer gpx/fit/csv file.
I'm not sure what you want to merge...
If your trainer can export a gpx file, then the gpx file can be merged into Isaac with this command. But, I don't know what info your gpx file has, and if that data will be read by Isaac.

Re: PowerPod Rain Protection - A test study
Riding for 2 hours in a hard rain is indeed a severe test... If you should happen to do this again, after the ride look carefully at the pitot tube, and also the ambient pressure port beneath. It will be interesting to see which, or both, ports clogged. Also, please post the ride file from today's r...

Re: How does the Powerpod work? Unknown and changing variables
These are questions which we have been answering for 18 years now. :-) 1. During PowerPod setup you'll enter height/weight/ride position/road type and tire type/pressure. From these inputs PowerPod estimates your CdA and Crr (aero drag and road resistance). How good are those estimates? We have 18 y...

Re: Calibration & wind graph
Your first ride looks OK, though your wind sensor calibration might be a bit low. I would do a new cal ride soon. Your rain ride definitely showed a blocked wind sensor, starting around mile 5. Re: DFPM + PP for CdA/Wind?
Your PPV4 transmits power, wind and slope information to the AeroPod CdA app. CdA and time advantage are held constant. If you have a DFPM, you can use the optional CdA wind tunnel key to unlock continuous measurement of CdA. You then pair your DFPM to your upgraded PP, and the AeroPod CdA app will ...
