Re: Erratic power readings, but AVG okish

I looked at your ride file and I checked your PP calibration. Calibration looks fine. In general your ride file looks fine, too, though I do notice one place, in a descent near mile 5.5, where watts seem high. You are descending a hill while facing a pretty high headwind. If I were descending into a...

Re: How to add a new Indoor Trainer in Isaac

I would use the power reporting feature of the Kickr.

I'm not sure about slope %, but theoretically it should work. Give it a try and let us know!

Re: Major firmware update for AeroPod

Oops...I did not see this post until just now (March 30). 1) Correct. If using profiles 1-3, no need to worry about first 5 minutes. AP will continue to self calibrate its tilt sensor 2) No matter which profile you use, you need to do only 1 cal ride. 3) Don't worry about water bottles with respect ...

Re: Isaac not connecting to PP3

Goodmorning, I have the same problem as the topic starter, but on a Windows 10 machine with Isaac 5.1.0. It looks like there is a problem with the SiLabs drivers. I made some screenshots (text on the pics is in Dutch). powerpod2.jpgpowerpod3.jpgpowerpod4.jpg Please email technicalsupport@velocomp.c...

any suggestion of which one to buy my quick search of Amazon germany didn't return any. Any ANT+ speed sensor that uses a magnet should work. Your local bike shop will likely have one. Re: Minimum Speed

I'm not sure what a Garmin V2 sensor is... For these super-slow speeds you'll need to get a speed sensor that uses a magnet to actuate it. Then, you will place TWO magnets on your wheel, at approximately 180 degree difference. You will also need to use Isaac to manually adjust your wheel circumferen...

After seeing this message I checked the SiLabs website. They have not yet updated the drivers but I am 100% confident they will.

We will keep a sharp eye on this.

The instructions say to orient the word PowerPod to be reasonably level to ground.

After you get it in the correct orientation do one more cal ride.

I suggest you leave things alone for a while and just ride! :-)

Re: Download Isaac for Mac version 5.1, works with Catalina!

As identified in the Catalina update to 10.15.4 - there is a warning that the Silicon Labs group of extensions and apps has at least one component that will not be supported in the next MacOS. Looks like Si Labs will have something to fix. SiLabs continues to make a lot of changes to their drivers....

Re: New User with Issues

When you see steep slopes at the beginning of a ride, either positive or negative, this means that PP has shifted in position between rides, or that PP received data after the ride (such as might happen when PP is attached to a car after the ride ends). A way to prevent the second problem is to clic...

Re: Powerpod only periodically showing power

The problem is your Crr, which in this ride file has somehow has been set to -0.0265. To give you an idea of what this means: A Crr of 0.00 would mean that there is no friction between your bike tires and the road. So, if you were coasting on a flat road with no air resistance, your bike would coast...

This is better but I am still seeing evidence of flexing. I think you would do much better if you used our standard handlebar mount and attached your PP to it... Re: New User with Issues

I understand that it is responding but this response is obviously exaggerated if using its formula it calculates power as high as 150 with 0 cadence ( as seen in my cycle meter). This can't be normal function and if it is then its obviously not going to be accurate in those conditions. Forcing a 0 ...

Re: New User with Issues

1) Your cadence and HR sensors are not paired. I can see this because their signals are not shown in your ride file. Also, their sensor IDs don't appear in your profile Edit/Edit Profiles/Extract from Ride file 2) If weather changes then you will see the elevation drift. This is in your ride file 3)...

Re: New User with Issues

Trying to diagnose your detailed questions with the graphs you've provided is nearly impossible. There is only one obvious problem: it appears that your cadence sensor is not paired to PP. I say this because, at mile 7.7 of your first graph, cadence is zero but power is not. If the cadence sensor is...

Re: Inconsistencies between PowerPod and Powertap G3/GS hub

1) Wake up your speed/cadence/HR sensors. Confirm with your bike computer that they are working. Then, press-hold PP button for 4 seconds, until its light starts to flash green. Sensor pairing is complete when light goes solid green, then off. 2) You will have to do a new cal ride after the new sens...

Re: Inconsistencies between PowerPod and Powertap G3/GS hub

There are several things going on: 1) Your PP is paired to a Quarq CinQo power meter. Did you know this? 2) The Quarq readings (visible when the View DFPM box is checked) are bizarre. 3) It looks like you are on a mountain bike. I suspect this because your tilt correction changes radically when you ...

Re: New User with Issues

This is your problem...the instructions say that PP should be approximately level to the ground. Yours is pointed way up in the air; this will cause calibration failures! 1) Reattach PP so that the word "PowerPod" is approximately level to the ground beneath it (it does not need to be exactly level)...
