Re: Powerpod has stopped working

Wow, I am sorry to hear you've had this problem. If your hard reset (press-hold for 12 seconds, then release) was unsuccessful you will need to return your unit to us. I know that sucks but I don't know what else to recommend. I will personally look at your unit once it is received. This should not ...

Had a short ride this morning after a full reset.

Unfortunately it looks to still be the same.

I’ve included a screen shot of the profile from my Garmin as a comparison.
email technicalsupport@velocomp.com for next steps. Looks like your elevation sensor is misbehaving... :-(

Re: Elevation Errors?

Good photo! Your baro port looks clear...

I would do a hard reset (Press-hold button for about 12 seconds, until light goes out momentarily then comes back on). Release button

Do a short ride after the reset and post the ride file.

Re: Elevation Errors?

Look on the side of your PowerPod. There is a small hole where air can enter the interior of the case. Is this hole blocked in any way? If so that would cause the problems you are seeing.

If not, then email technicalsupport@velocomp.com for next steps.

Thanks John,

Should I , after the PP is fully charged, give it 5 clicks, to ensure it is off ? KB.
You can do this if you wish. Note, however, that PP will turn itself off after 20 minutes of inactivity.

John, I asked the same question over a year ago, https://velocompforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=4609&p=24301#p24301 Your reply indicated that discharging in 10 days is normal, now you seem to be saying it should last at least four weeks My response in the prior post did not have a time frame. Re: Battery Charge

How old is your unit?

Complete discharge of a full battery in 10 days is not normal unless:

1. the unit is old, or

2. the battery has not been properly maintained (like any rechargeable battery device, PP battery should be periodically charged full every 4 weeks).

Press-hold your PP button for 12 seconds. It will flash after a few seconds. Continue holding until the light goes out, then starts blinking again. Release.

This does a hard reset of the device; hopefully that will take care of things.

Re: High Power readings at the start of recent rides??

thanks - it helped in my Wahoo fitness app to wait and start the ride after 90secs only, but in Isaac the odd starting Watts just remain, of course. Following strictly mounting procedures does not prevent the odd starting values at all. The 2nd question: after remounting the Powerpod (having been u...

Re: Strange Behavior

Your 50KM ride shows lots of speed sensor dropouts. These are the source of all your watts problems; they are causing huge slope spikes. I would replace the battery in your speed sensor. Screen Shot 2019-07-18 at 6.51.00 AM.png I checked a few sections of the ride where speed signals were normal. Yo...

Re: Weird (Incorrect?) Slope Graph

Look at the top right of your main window, above your power graph. You have averaging set to 20 minutes. So, the slope graph in the bottom is the average slope of the prior 20 minutes! Set your averaging to 5 seconds and you will see good results (see attached). Absolute elevation is irrelevant; the...

Re: Differences between "Analyze|calibration" and "Analyze|route" and "accept" vs. "send."

1) Analyze Route does not modify the profile. Check Calibration does 2) The profile you selected was the one stored prior to your Analyze Route. Use Check Calibration, then send that profile to your unit 3) If you change ANYTHING in the ride file, then you need to save the changes. If you don't the ...

Re: Difference between PowerPod lite and PowerPod V3

We have a chart that shows the differences (attached).
