Re: New Velocomp Aero software with FW 11 enables wireless communication
.... BONUS:The first reply to this post that explains to my satisfaction the image in the "FW 11" attachment will get a free pitot tube, postage included :-) I'm honestly surprised that nobody tapped into that yet... ;-) I'm not particularly in need of another pitot tube, thankfully, but ...

Re: Incorrect wattage readings during climbs
Hello, during my session today, the pod was connected correctly. For the first few meters, the display seemed to be working, but then it got stuck constantly at 50 watts. The pod was flashing red and green. Later, I installed the Velocomp software on my computer (I had Isaac installed previously). ...

Re: AP new calbration - new garmin connect app
John - I took a look at the two ride files in this thread. What I was looking for was noise on the CdA plot panel and sure enough there are a few spikes, The CdA plot should not have any of these noise spikes - and I see the exact same thing on my rides where I am using Profile #1. As you have told...

Re: AP new calbration - new garmin connect app
Hi Johh, can you check this ride from today please? seems to be ok but in some sectors i felt a lot more effort than 90-110w that garmin was showing. Also, in 2 opportunities when i hit the lap, the app was frozen and the IQ logo apperaed in the garmin screen. In the middle of the ride, i did the f...

If you merged your .FIT activity file into VA, then you would get HR data recorded by your Garmin.

Re: New Heart Rate monitor sensor.
Ooops, sorry John, one last question, should I perform this procedure , just prior to going on a ride ? Or just turn off after the procedure ? My bikes are stored next to a computer, so what ever you suggest, works. Again, thank you. KB Unless you think your HR data is critical, I would wait until ...

Re: New Heart Rate monitor sensor.
Wow ! Thank you John. Just to clarify , item 1, is just the procedure . I don't perform anything until step 2, correct . Sounds easy enough. In step 1, you wake up all your sensors, including HR, and then press-hold your PP button for 4 seconds, until it starts flashing. Release the button. Your se...

Re: New Heart Rate monitor sensor.
Whenever you do a new sensor pairing then yes, that will force a new calibration ride. There is a way to get around the forced new calibration ride in Velocomp Aero: 1) Do a new sensor pairing of all sensors 2) Connect your unit to VA 3) Select "Device/Configure Device..." 4) From the drop...

Re: Power Pod <-> Footbike Compatibility
Wow, this is the first time in 22 years of running Velocomp someone has asked about using one of our units with a footbike! :D The means of propulsion is your kicking the bike forward with one of your legs, while standing on the bike with your other leg. In principle PowerPod will work very well wit...

Re: Velocomp Aero software for Mac/PC
Haven't tried this new software yet. Thank you so much for doing this. PPod lives! V Excited to see how it goes. Have been pPod user since the very beginning! Will installing VA nuke any of the ride files extant on my iPod V3? Best, Jim No. Any ride files currently in your V3 will be unaffected by ...

Re: Incorrect wattage readings during climbs
Thanks for the quick reply and help. I hope you can find something. I'm currently having the same problem; I can't download the latest tour data. Re: Incorrect wattage readings during climbs
Hi everyone, for the past few weeks my Powerpod has been giving significantly lower wattage readings on inclines. Recalibrating and switching to a different profile haven't fixed it. It's as if the incline sensors aren't registering that I'm going uphill. What can I do? Please post a .ibr ride file...

Re: Calibration loop
Here is a ride from this morning on which I put a wind calibrated profile. At the first 10 k the power was all over, after that the PP I believe self calibrated or did something as the power started to look better. Still wind from only back. Strangely enough, after downloading the ride, Velocomp Ae...

You should be using the new ConnectIQ app "Velocomp". The app written by Oleksiy is no longer supported.

Re: New AeroPod/PowerPod CdA app for Garmin devices
Oleski, It seems the frozen screen in your app is mainly related to the varia radar, when the radar get disconnected (maybe one or twice in a 50 miles ride) then the field where the CdA app is on get frozen, the rest is OK. Disconnection of the radar is reported and known and it is a problem. The p...

Re: New Garmin ConnectIQ app for PowerPod and AeroPod
John - I noticed that if you have the data for this IQ app displayed while running a calibration, the display gives directions about the out and back, reminding to stop at 50% and turn around. During that time the display does not show the wind/slope and so on. There also appears to be a thin bar a...

Re: Calibration issue
Dear John, I can't figure out how to adjust the PowerPod numbers to fit my Favero Assioma Pro RS-2 numbers. If I try to align wind and ground speed things just seem to get worse. What would your approach be? I miss a comprehensive user manual for VA as you had for Isaac.... This cal ride was done i...

Is it possible to "configure" the fields? Like selecting each one in on-off mode...for example, power yes, cda no, slope yes , wind no. Also the font size, as actually the fonts are "small" inside each field... a lot of space unused. thanks Not in this version...maybe in the fut...
