Re: Help with powerpod set up

I see where you got the 3.4 wind scaling factor. Profile is attached. I don't see anything wrong with your mount, so that should not be an issue. Your ride file with this WSF looks solid, though this is a very long ride (1 hour 30 minutes). Remember...when you do a "check calibration" Isaac assumes ...

Re: Will PowerHouse Bike Profile overwrite Isaac profile?

Powerhouse does not read the profiles stored in your device. So yes, Powerhouse will overwrite bike/rider data stored in your device with the settings you create in the "Rider/Bike Settings"; however, Powerhouse will not overwrite wind calibration data.

Re: TT bike mounting

Hello all -- I have the Profile Designer Aeria Ultimate bars on the way. What's my best mounting option? I already have the TT mount and road mount for the aeropod, but I'm guessing neither of these will work? Would prefer not to permanently glue something on, as I don't plan on keeping the aeropod...

Your calibration looks fine.

Re: O&B ride and sensor pairing

1. Wow, send some ride files from China! It sounds like a safe out-and-back might be a problem, so you can "cheat" as follows: try to pick a day where there is not a huge amount of wind. Ride the "out" portion. When you get to the turn-around point, STOP, then continue riding in the same direction. ...

Re: FAQ? How to tell powerpod I want to do a new calibration ride?

Sensor pairing, do this: 1) MAKE SURE YOUR SENSORS ARE AWAKE. I generally confirm they are on by checking with my bike computer 2) MAKE SURE YOU ARE 100 FEET AWAY FROM ANY OTHER BIKES THAT MAY HAVE AWAKENED SENSORS. 3) Press-hold the button for 4 seconds. A green light will start flashing, indicatin...

Re: FAQ? How to tell powerpod I want to do a new calibration ride?

1) Make sure the latest FW is loaded into PP

2) If 1) is true, then do a new sensor pairing. This will put PP into O&B calibration mode

3) As an alternative, connect PP to Isaac, and select "Device/Setup Device..." On the last step of the wizard, select "Best Accuracy"

Re: PP, Best Bike Split and indoor VS outdoor readings

1. Yes, it is the wheel setting in PP. 28 has a circumference of 2135; 25 has a circumference of 2105. So, if your PP were set to 28, it would record 2135 / 2105 * 26.1 = 26.5 miles If you have fixed this in your PP profile then your next ride should be OK. 2. I could tell your last ride was a group...

I don't recall seeing a recommended minimum loop diameter; just now when I looked at the Troubleshooting and CdA measurement documents I did not find anything of that sort. It sounds like I'm missing some relevant documentation. Any suggestions where to look for it? I'm told that the reason the C1 ...

Re: AeroPod beta firmware

I think what is happening here is that your course only about 1 mile. While that is fine, each time you turn around some of the "turnaround" data gets stuffed into your CdA computations. Effectively, this both shortens the course even more, down to a length that is pretty small, and puts some extran...

Re: Powerpod Under reading

At this point I would make sure your PP is fully charged, then do another ride.

It may be that the low wind readings were a result of the low battery.

Re: Powerpod Under reading

If your ride file split into 2, it is likely because your battery was low. When battery voltage is low, PP automatically splits ride files, so that the entire ride is not lost due to a failed battery. Your wind is definitely low. Were you riding in the rain? Is your wind port blocked or dirty? Eithe...

Re: Fork Mounting For TT Bike

Assuming that the mount is sufficiently rigid, wouldn't that location create problems with wind speed measurement since it is so close to the spokes? I don't know how wide the "wake" of the rim and spokes is when riding at speed. I would also be curious if the readings would be thrown off by wind c...

Re: Powerpod Issues Since Ride in Rain

Something is not right. You have way too many power spikes in your ride file, and towards the end of the ride your wind readings fall off.

I'm not sure your unit is still in warranty but I would send it in to be checked. Please email technicalsupport@velocomp.com for next steps.

Re: Calibration without re-pairing

Believe it or not, we do listen and care about everyone's feedback!

We will soon be posting a FW update that eliminates the HR pairing issue. On profile 4, even if you have paired a HR strap, the HR channel will still record CdA data.
