Error 6004 occured at 5 Ibike command failures

Hi, I'm getting this error when trying to download a calibration ride. It also won't let me download any rides though the Ibike does connect and I can download the FW and Serial numbers. I upgraded to the latest Ibike software and installed the latest firmware into the unit....same problem. Any idea...

Ibike Freaking Out

I have an ISport that I upgraded to full wired status with cadence. It has worked flawlessly for about a year. Now, however, it has started messing up. First, it burns through batteries...in the heat of summer (I know it does that when it's cold). I think it is actually draining the batteries when i...

New calibration ride....look ok?

Hey, I got my new cadence mount and went out and did 10 coastdowns, followed by my 4 mile out and back on a relatively low wind day. My roads are rough here and the Crr came out to .0090 That's after tossing the 4 highest and one low oddball coastdown. Seems a bit high right? Anyhow, I'll post my ib...

Re: What's your fitness score and watts/kg?

Ok, just got back from the 20 min fitness test. 49 years old, 211lbs and 6ft tall (read: too fat!). I got a fitness level 3, 2.64 w/kg. I was hoping for better. I have discovered that I have a lot of fast twitch though. About 10 minutes *after* the test I stormed a 30 sec hill with a peak of 969W. N...

Re: How much power to push

How would those numbers CAT and fitness relate to those of us in the masters category. I've seen a lot of wattage figures tossed around, but I was wondering what a mid pack masters rider's output would be for threshold. I mean in general, not elite. Anyone want to share the numbers for a 50 year old?

Re: My First Ibike Pro File! comments requested

Thanks! I found that switching profiles lowered wattage over all, but I think it was the change in Crr that caused that. We have pretty rough roads in this area so I'm not sure. I think I need to redo the coastdowns and calibration ride to make sure things are kosher, but here's my original file.

My First Ibike Pro File! comments requested

Hi All, I just got my Ibike Pro calibrated and took it out to our local climb. I'm 49 and weighed 265 about 7 years ago when I started cycling. Now at 210, completely addicted to cycling, I've done quite a bit of touring, quite a few centuries and am heading to the French Alps this summer. I also ho...

Polar Sync?

I have a Polar S710i. I read somewhere that with the Gen III the Polar HR file will sync up with the Ibike info, but will the Polar cadence info sync up similarly? I really don't want to spend a bunch of time every ride to get the data aligned for analysis in WKO.

Thanks,
Gary

Re: Training for Climbing

Thanks Boyd,

So raising my lactate threshold is the key to riding extended climbs faster and I should train by using climbing intervals at the sub-threshold, threshold and occasionally in V02 max intervals. Does that sound about right?

Thanks again,
Gary

Training for Climbing

I'm a rider with a sprinter's power profile, but this year I want to concentrate on developing my climbing. Obviously any excess weight needs to be shed, but my real question is about power training exercises for enhancing climbing ability. My guess is: Climbing Intervals/Repeats at sub-Threshold (9...
