Re: New TT application for iBike

Will the remote wind sensor be removed out of the head unit & placed in the tubing somewhere?

Re: New TT application for iBike

I agree with difference in power meters. In this file a 75 watts difference is approaching 50% difference. Power tap claims 1% & SRM about 1%. but 50% difference between a powertap & the Iaero is unacceptable, don't you agree? there is something wrong with one the power generated in this fil...

Re: New TT application for iBike

Hi Boyd, If you go to the power meter comparisons menu, You will see that there is a diferece of Plus 35 aprox & minus 75 aprox.

Can you explain the huge difference in the 2 power meter readings?

Re: More iAero DFPM Compairsons

Did you zero out your powertap, after you took it out in the cold temperature? According to Powertap tech support, it needs to be calibrated if there is a big temperature change, when you start your ride.

Re: PT Pro+ Power Display Fluctuations

You can display the power on your Powertap by using a 2 or 5 second interval averaging. The fluctuations on your power tap can be reduced by holding a steady rpm, rather than watching your wattage. As you realize, the power displayed by your powertap is the real thing, while the IAero is a calculate...

Re: New TT application for iBike

Why did you use such a long tube, & where is the tube opening? are you using a funnel opening at the intake end of the tube? It does not make sense to me that this setup would function, because I thought the air intake on the IAero operates on the ram air principle, such as a pitot tube on an ai...

Re: Something new for TT applications

I was under the impression that a pitot tube works on the ram air principle. Placing a curved long tube such as in the picture, how will it work in principle? I have tried a straight tube on the Iaero, but not on the Gen3, but the numbers don't work out.

Re: Mount iBike upside down under the stem?

If you really want to unclutter your handle bars, consider this: Mould a carbon or FG cradle to fit your IAero, then securely, attach (epoxy the cradle permanently to your bar)it to either side of the stem just infront of your handle bar. this way your IAero &/or garmin wil be exactly even with ...

The best source you can get for power training & HR training is Hunter Allen's book. Even though Hunter Allen is more biased towards power training, yet he lets you know when power or HR is more important. If you really want to become very proficient, I recommend attending on of Hunter Allen's s...
