iAero goes to "scan" mode instead of setup
This happened twice last weekend at very inopportune times: I'm riding around for awhile (20 - 40 minutes), stop, then I hold the "up" arrow to go into setup. Instead of going into setup, the iAero goes straight to "scan yes" to look for devices. Why would it do this? * new batte...

DFPM, iaero filter, and sprints
This entire season I've not had a sprint with a peak power greater than 1000 watts. That's taking into account the cumulative data from my season so far using the iaero and srm with the iaero's filter on. I'm much more diesel than sprinter, so I've been trying to improve my sprint power with some sp...

Re: Ride filename reports zero miles
Total distance as reported in the file is correct-- about 25 miles. Likewise, duration/time is consistent at about 75 minutes total. I don't have the file handy. I've seen this happen about 2-3 times in the past week.

Re: Ride filename reports zero miles
It's not a low ibike battery. The ibike battery is fresh. Further, the ride was not split like what happens when the battery is low. A single ride was the only download on the ibike. The download did have the complete ride. The oddity is that the download filename was odd, with "0_miles" i...

Ride filename reports zero miles
From the download menu, my ride filenames are being listed as zero miles. ie- the downloads are labeled "iBike_04_14_2010_1759_0_Miles.csv". This is from a ride that was 22.84 miles. This seems to have started very recently, I'm not sure why. This is using ibike firmware 4.20 and ibike for...

lap markers
The ibike 4 software analyzed today's 70 minute crit to produce about 40 laps. Is this the intended functionality? A lap-by-lap crit breakdown is a bit too much of a microanalysis for me. If I turn off "Add Lap Markers" I'm guessing that'll fix this? Will it still mark user intervals? The ...

Pcal menu screen missing
Riding the trainer last night, the Pcal screen went missing again. I had first set the Pcal before getting on the trainer. Rode for half an hour, then wanted to recheck calibration. The iAero was reporting the DFPM power and cadence from the DFPM (SRM). The Pcal screen would not come up, however. I ...

Re: Missing Cadence
Here is the file. Likely I had zero resistance on the trainer (before clampping the wheel down), as such it's pretty easy to get the wheel to spin for quite awhile without much pedaling. I didn't start "riding" til about a minute and a half in according to the data.

Re: Missing Cadence
I'm noticing missing cadence on some of my recent rides also. Cadence is displayed during the ride but not on download. Travis, can you clarify what the circumstances are where cadence goes missing and what "more pesistent" means? Not sure if this is relevant, but I'm not using a cadence s...

Re: What's coming next?
I don't think power zones and percentage of FTP are particularly important to view during a ride. The display does show Intensity Factor (IF), which can cover some of your use cases. The instantaneous Intensity Factor isn't all that relevant (or useful). It's based on Normalized Power and it'd requi...

Re: losing pairing
Any suggestions on how to use an iAero in my back pocket? With a couple DFPM's and lack of mounts, it'd be great if I could put the iAero on a mount and throw the lot in my back pocket. I'm not really concerned about the wind sensor, tilt, etc obviously. I'd just like to collect data from the other ...

Re: DFPM calibration not stored with profile
I don't disagree that a calibration should be done for every ride. That doesn't mean the calibration value shouldn't be stored in the profile. I can give a couple reasons for this. The SRMs I've got have significantly different offset values. If I start a ride with SRM #2 using SRM #1's offset, the ...

DFPM calibration not stored with profile
It appears the calibration value for a DFPM (the PCal value) is stored globablly and not per profile. When I switch profiles between bikes with DFPM I need to also go in and perform another calibration. I'll admit that doing a calibration on every ride is important. Still, the iaero should store thi...

Re: iAero "Filter" function
I hate to say "me too", but me too. I've got the latest firmware but I do not notice any difference with or without the filter. i can´t really see any difference on the fluctuation of the power numbers, regardless of the filter is on or off. Can anyone confirm that this smoothing actually ...

Any chance of getting more profiles in the iAero ?
Any chance the iAero will support more than two profiles? It'd be nice not to have to upload profiles / change them after the ride for the race bike, tt, track, and rain bikes... The main thing is having profiles for multiple wireless pairing IDs, especially with bikes that have a DFPM onboard.

Re: iAero "Filter" function
Not 100% sure how it works now, but I would be great to have the display filter configurable as above, but still have the iBike record at the highest resolution, eg 1 second. Thanks That's exactly what the Ergomo computer did: it recorded at the highest sampling rate, but the user display was a mov...

Re: iAero "Filter" function
would it be possible to make the filter configurable? That is, make the moving average adjustable? The Ergomo headunit was pretty cool in that you could specify the display to show a configurable average of the last 1-9 samples. (actually, I think it was pedal strokes, not samples, but anyway...)

Re: Blue Screen of Death - Windows 2000 SP4
How was this resolved? Just curious 'cause I've noticed a BSOD if I put my Windows XP laptop into "sleep" with the USB adapter attached, then detach the adapter before I resume. While I'd be willing to get some better repro steps I'd prefer to to crash my laptop.

I assume this is true for handlebar mounts as well...? you explicitly mentioned stem mount above.Velocomp wrote:If your moving your stem mount between bikes you'll need to repeat your tilt calibration each time (it will be impossible to get the mount at exactly the angle it was previously).

Re: Recording DFPM data w/o speed
CoachBoyd makes an excellent point and it's another one of my pet peeves with the ibike. Data is recorded as ride time, not total duration. So stopping at a stop light, for a coffee, whatever-- it doesn't record the stop interval. This can also give false data in CyclingPeaks by reporting unrealisti...

Recording DFPM data w/o speed
I found myself trying to use my iAero without a speed sensor last weekend (long story on that one). The iAero picked up my SRM's power and cadence fine, but without the speed sensor it was basically useless since it will not record data. I'd like to see the iAero still record data when other inputs ...

Re: Interval Marker?
Please tell me it's an interval mode like on the Ergomo computer. On the Ergomo, you enter interval mode and you can see the watts for the current and average watts for the interval on the same screen. Having both of these is really nice for "chasing the carrot" (ie- holding average wattag...

Getting TrainingPeaks/WKO to use DFPM power
Is there a way to get power numbers from a DFPM to appear in Training Peaks instead of the ibike power numbers? The default appears to be that Training Peaks uses the ibike power. Also, I seem to be getting some "spikey" data from my SRM. I don't know if this is an SRM issue or an iAero. I...
