AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

I attempting to re-sync my powerpod to my Wahooo Roam. Each time I do the powerpod shows up as a 'Gear Selection Indicator.' Anyone else had this difficulty. I am re-syncing because the power pod stopped communication. I selected forget the device to start over. This didn't work the way I anticipate...
