Re: PowerPod dying after 2.5 hours

Thanks for the reply. I’ve only been using the PowerPod 3-4 times a month (weekend rides) so the charging cycle seems low for this to be occurring. Unlike my Garmin Edge 520 which is also beginning to die after 3.5 hrs but in that case I use it 8-10x/week, so that would more likely seem to be due to...

PowerPod dying after 2.5 hours

I've noticed over the past few months my PowerPod V2 only lasts about 2.5 hours after being fully charged. I've had the PP for about 3-4 years. What is a typical lifespan? I've heard there may be firmware update issues but no one seems to confirm this.

Thanks.

Re: Out and back calibration ride issue for PP-V3

I’m still finding PowerPod V3 frustrating to use. I managed to set up a profile for it for one bike. Did the calibration ride and it seemed to work. When an added another profile for a different bike, I paired the sensors and did another calibration ride. It seems pretty random if it will work. At t...

Wireless ID in profiles

I've just completed the out and back calibration ride. Do the paired wireless sensors get added to the profile I created before the ride when I reconnect the Powerpod to Isaac? When I went to edit profile and went to Wireless ID, I clicked on get from device and it sent numbers that don't match my a...

USB charging

I’ve noticed that my Powerpod is very finicky when it comes to connecting to USB. Is there a reason why some USB connect and others don’t? Also when charging, it seems unless I connect to Isaac on my computer, it won’t charge. A few times I’ve tried charging the PP using USB to a standard charger, b...

Re: Out and back calibration ride issue for PP-V3

Thanks for your reply. The hard reset seemed to do the trick. I do have another question. With the last firmware update, it seemed a bit unclear in the documentation whether or not a cal ride was needed before every ride, which seems impractical or was I misreading that? Do I only need to do a cal r...

Out and back calibration ride issue for PP-V3

Hello, In the past, including after the last firmware update, I had been able to successfully completed the out and back calibration ride for my V-3. Today though, it wasn't working. My last ride, I wasn't getting any power readings (read 0W) so I decided to reset profile settings and re-do the cal ...

Gearing vs power

I’m not sure if this has been covered, but I’ve noticed that when I’m riding a constant grade, if I gear down (easier) my power readings go up and vice versa when I shift into a harder gear, the power goes down. Intuitively, that doesn’t make sense. (I use V3 and it’s synced with cadence and speed s...

Re: Is there anything I need to do post-calibration ride

Great. Thanks for your input. I think I've got it to work. Initially the power fluctuated then seemed to settle down after a couple of minutes. Of course now is the SURI Mac OS issue. Fingers crossed that there will be an eventual Isaac upgrade, but it looks like I can use my Garmin to collect power...

Is there anything I need to do post-calibration ride

Hi there PPV3 users, I'm relatively new and I apologize in advance if this questions seems obvious. It's not exactly clear from either the Powerpod V3 instructions or the Isaac manual about what to do after the calibration ride. From what I gathered, after a calibration ride, I need to download the ...
