Re: PP calibration ride issues

Hi John, coming back to this one. It's not confusing at all, just in order. But anyway, it solved itself on 2 ways: 1. When you factory default the PP via isaac it won't behave as lined out in the guides, the device has to be factory defaulted on the device itself to be able to perform a calibration...

PP calibration ride issues

HI PP-Team, I have a couple of general points to my PP. Built a new road bike and wanted to calibrate the PP fresh. I did: - factory reset via isaac - setup the PP via isaac with Profile 1 (weight, height, Hoods, tyres, front mount, rough asphalt, clincher, Premium, 7 Bar, Best accuracy) (this was a...

Re: Calibration Check

For things to stick you must click on the "Accept" button - or it won't. Hi, Thanks for the advise, though I'm 100% sure I did do that. But also looking at certain setting options like Surface/tyre grade, any settings I possibly could have changed, none of them gives me a 0.009 output. so...

Re: Calibration Check

Hi John, yeah, the 0.009 is a value that isaac automatically did choose/offer at some stage during the calibration. I felt that this is wrong. However, I tried to stick/set the value back to .0043 but apparently it didn't. Road blend here is mainly chip seal. I also did add this to the calibration, ...

Re: Calibration Check

Since I don't want to open a new thread and this comes close to my point I just use this one here. I just added a DFPM to the PP and went for a ride today. After the ride I used the calibration check and I'm a bit baffled: https://i.ibb.co/j33fkzP/i-Bike-DFPM.png I use Aerobars (Profile Design Jamme...

Re: power stroke interpretation

I received the pitot tube last week and added it. Saturday I had a nearly wind-still FTP ride on the curse can't complain on that, yesterday was also ok, today I had another training on the curse with more wind (~15km/h WNW) and the info on the screen was more stable, less flaky like on other days w...

PP with Pilot tube - re-calibration

Hello Everyone, Just received my pitot tube for the PPv3. Understanding that it has to be re-calibrated, but different. 1. How do I activate on an already calibrated PP another calibration? 2. Is there anything to set inside the configuration of the PP that he understands to have a pitot tube attach...

Re: power stroke interpretation

Hi John, please find attached a ride file. As lined out: Powerstroke: how to decrease back and forth movement. Using PP in a Velodrome with wind: Below you can see a picture from my ride on the Velodrome, I go counter clockwise, so the wind comes from above or N-NW. when I am on segment '1' I have o...

Re: power stroke interpretation

I'm getting into a similar point here: Using Garmin ANT+ cadence and speed sensor as well. Looking at the following picture that is showing a small part of the ride, you can see how scattered the movement is. But overall it is dominated by too much back/forth movement. How is this trained? where can...

Re: low Fric unable to update profile

The best scenario is to leave the PP mounted on the bike and never move it or take it off. If you cannot do that - never move the mounting bracket on the bike and just take the PP off - but when you put it back on it needs to be tilted as far as possible (not moving the mounting bracket) so that it...

Re: low Fric unable to update profile

Thank you, but what do you mean by 'in a different position from where it was calibrated'?

It hangs under my Garmin like it did when it was calibrated.

Or do you want to line out that the little play of the device inside the GoPro mount has this impact?

Re: low Fric unable to update profile

Thank you, today I found another strange thing. I did a lunch ride, approx 21k in nasty weather (rain and wind the blew in the middle section from front left) did half the loop yesterday and used more power based on pp than today with nastier weather and over a longer time in these conditions. (I ca...

Re: low Fric unable to update profile

Understood. this means in order to have 'clean' data in Garmin f.e. the ride should not be started in Garmin until 2min into movement then.

low Fric unable to update profile

Hello all, I did a training ride today, short bursts, and once finished PP gave me for the first 2 go's a far to high power value, over 1300 Watts. now i checked using 'Analyze - Check calibration' and it showed me that a correction would change the values significantly: Original values: https://i.i...

Re: Zero Length File error

I would like to ask a silly question in this regard Just received my PowerPod Lite yesterday and did a final calibration ride today. Now opening the PP in Isaac it says that it doesn't find any ride files: https://i.ibb.co/4Yx7tHD/ride-files.png clicking on 'Show Download Window' shows me 3x Zero Le...

Re: Oh dear oh dear.

Hi, I just received my PowerPod yesterday. To be honest it is a bit fiddely to setup and there are also competitive crankbased PMs on the market now, which I was also looking at, 4iiii and Stages. However I like the thought of calculating all the influences coming to a rider into conclusion and not ...
