Re: Capabilities of PowerPod's continuous calibration/correction?

PP won't detect changes in tire pressure (how could it?). For consistent results ride-to-ride you should have the same tire pressure. I figured it couldn't but thought I'd ask anyway just in case. After all it seems to be able to detect changes in terrain via "DCRR". how does that work? S...

Capabilities of PowerPod's continuous calibration/correction?

What types of changes is the PowerPod capable of detecting and correcting for (wattage-wise) during the ride? I know that the PowerPod can detect changes - in device tilt during the ride (and compensate for within 2-3 mins) - terrain conditions via DCRR (and correction for this happens within a few ...

Unpair old sensors and pair to new speed/cadence sensors?

I previously paired my PowerPod V4 to Wahoo speed/cadence sensors. I have bought new Garmin speed/cadence sensors and want to pair my existing profile to those instead.

What's the best way to do this without resetting my profile and calibration?

Re: High watts after auto-pause, low watts downhill. Mostly good overall.

Your calibration looks fine. In your 10/1 and 10/3 files, there is evidence that the tilt angle of your unit changed (10/3 ride file, at the 39 minute mark; 10/1 file, at the 26 minute mark. If you're riding a mountain bike, what may be happening is that, after a rest, when you start riding again y...

High watts after auto-pause, low watts downhill. Mostly good overall.

First time Powerpod user here. Saw this a year ago but the V4 update and lower price finally made me bite although I was skeptical. Overall I am really impressed that someone figured out how to make something like this work. I've been using a smart trainer so i know how certain wattages "feel&q...

Re: auto vs out&back calibration

Out and back is more accurate, because it doesn't estimate your wind factor. PPV4 automatically sets itself to an out-and-back calibration. There's nothing special you have to do to invoke it. sorry i was just going off the marketing material on the V4 page: “Simplified Setup and Calibration – just...

auto vs out&back calibration

just ordered my V4 yesterday can’t wait to get it. in the meanwhile i noticed that both the Lite and V4 seem to have a simplified auto calibration when you just ride normally and also the traditional out and back calibration. is it right for me to assume the out and back will result in more accurate...
