Velocomp Aero v1.0.22 - Appending ride files.
In Isaac if 2 ride files were generated because of a coffee stop part way through the ride, when I append the second file to the first Isaac creates a third file which combines the 2 rides and gives it a name incorporating the total ride. An analysis of the whole ride. With Velocomp Aero I find that...

Velocomp Aero v1.0.17
Since installing the update to Velocomp Aero v1.0.17 the scroll bars on the left of the screen only work intermittently when viewing ride data or peak power times.
Is this a common problem?

Re: Lap analysis
Hi John,
When I Merge a gpx or fit file in Isaac the laps are shown in the bottom left of the screen but not in Aero.
It shows total distance, lap time, speed and watts.
I know I can't get CdA but data that is given is useful.

Lap analysis
Hi John, me again. I've just done a ride recording 15 laps on my Garmin. (there are a couple where I double pressed and two where I was riding to the start of the lap.) I used "Get Gps Data From Activity File" using the fit file from either Garmin or Strava and the map appears in Velocomp ...

Re: Check calibration
Thanks for the reply John. As with any new software it takes a while to get used to the new layout, new features and ones that have been dropped. In Isaac I liked the bottom left corner of the main screen showing Laps, Peaks and GPS. I can see that the Peaks info is available by hovering over the Pe...

In Isaac there is an option under Analyse to Check Calibration Using Out & Back Ride and this will give revised figures based on the latest ride compared with those held under the bike profile. These revised figures can then be sent to the device and stored as an update profile. Is there a simil...

Viewing previous ride data.
In Isaac it was possible to ctrl page up and down to view previous rides but I can see this feature in Aero. Also rides could be merged when Powerpod had to be restarted after a 20 minute stop and ride data could be imprted from Garmin computer to add GPS data. These were under the File tab. Are the...

Merging ride data from GPX file
After each ride I usually download the GPX file from Strava and merge it with the Ibike file so that I have a map of the route in Isaac. Each time I do the merge I see a window titled File Syncronisation Result and it then shows 2 graphs of speed data. There is always an area where the Ibike speed a...

Re: Restore original downloded file
The ibr file saved on my pc is the updated version, following the addition of GPS date from my Garmin computer. I've tried using Analyse/Return To Original Download but it doesn't work. Is this because I saved the updated file? Is there a way to Return To The Original Download once updates/amendment...

Restore original downloded file
I have transferred a ride from my Powerpod to Isaac and deleted the file from Powerpod. I then added gps data by merging gps and other data (using a gpx file) and saved the resultant file. I've now realised the merge gpx file didn't include the first few miles of the ride so I want to revert to the ...

ibp file locations in Windows 10.
I've recently had to reinstall Windows on my pc. I've retained all Windows "user" files and previous ibike ride data but I can't find the *.ibp profile files that I had set up.
Can you tell me where they would normally be saved in Windows 10 please?
thanks.

Hi John, What I want to do is view data from a gpx/fit or tcx file that has been created by the smart trainer in Isaac as a new ride so that I can view it in the same format as a "Powerpod" ride with the same graphs and data analysis. I'm guesing the files, whilst having the same file exte...

I have a Bkool Smart trainer that doesn't appear to be supported by Powerpod.
Can a file generated by Bkool such as gpx/fit or csv be imported into Isaac so that I can delve into the greater analysis provided by Isaac?

Re: Calibration PP V3
How do I initiate a re-calibration ride?
I think the angle of the mount has changed and when I do a check calbration in Isaac FRIC gies from 6.608 to 22.734 so I think calibration is out.
What sort of figures should I be expecting to see for FRIC for a road bike ridden on good surfaces?

Re: Setting active profile with 2 bikes.
It was an assumption really because there was no power readout to my to my Garmin when I resumed the ride after a 5 minute stop. When I got home and plugged it into Isaac it showed profile 1 active rather than profile 3. Profile 1 still works on my Cube bike so how about me deleting profile 3 from P...

No John, different sensors on each bike.
The Cube works fine, it's the Forme that drops out.
Here is my last Cube ride and the Forme bike ride until I stopped and it then dropped out.3
Thanks.

Apologies if this has been asked previously. I'm a recreational rider not a racer but I'm trying to be more consistent in my power delivery on my rides. Re: calibration check
Thanks John,
Wind speed was averaging around 14-15mph as both a tail wind on the ride out and headwind on the ride back.
This ties in almost exactly with the average shown in the advanced stats.

Re: calibration check
Would the check calibration be appropriate when there's a strong tailwind for half the ride and a strong headwind for the return part.
I've run check calibration and the speed and wind speed now look more realistic.
I've attached the amended file. The wind was from the South/South East.
Thanks.

Elevation at start of ride
I noticed some strange Min, Avg & Max elevation data for my rides and realised that my PP isn't calibrating for the actual elevation at the start of my ride. I live near the coast so starting elevation is 160ft (approx). Some rides showed stat elevation on the graph as -300ft. Is there a way to ...

Cadence not showing in Isaac
Just completed a windy 52 mile ride. Everything appeared to be functioning normally between my Garmin Edge 1000 and PP. Power, HR, Speed & Cadence were displaying and looked ok but when I uploaded to Isaac there was no cadence for the first 27 miles then it was recorded and displayed accurately....

Understanding Isaac wind speed.
Looking at the speed (wheel/wind) graph in Isaac I've deduced that if wind speed extends above the wheel speed in blue that it is a head wind. If the wind is blue below the wheel speed line it was a tail/back wind. I'm confused by the figures at the bottom of the screen. Riding into a head wind it s...
